TJ Carter with two huge turnovers.

They start only 3 seniors on defense (one is a transfer). 5 of their front 7 are sophomores or freshmen with two freshmen at nose tackle. That's on top of losing 4 starters for the year (2 to dismissal). It's what we had to do the last 4 games last year.

He'll have some help coming next year too. 6'2 CB from Bham committed is going to do well opposite him. They will be tough.

This Gruden stuff is hilarious.

Also, why are some people certain Butch gets fired after this weekend? Losing this game doesn't change anything reallt, including the perception of him as the UT coach.

I think he's done if he loses to UK or Vandy. Otherwise, he's done at the end of the season.

So, sometimes I play Rocket League in ranked matches online. Usually I play 2 on 2 with random internet people. I was matched on a team just a second ago with a guy with a Bama logo on his profile.

We played the game pretty close against the guys we were matched up against until right up at the end. We were up 4 to 3. At that point, I decided that I was a Vol fan first and a Rocket League winner second.

I helped the other team tap in a couple of goals, screamed out "BAMA SUCKS, GO VOLS" on voice chat, and then told the guy to enjoy the L he was taking tonight and then the L that he was going to take again on Saturday.

I am nothing if I'm not mature.

I am not suggesting he is a great choice right now but if he wins his next 5 games he squarely puts himself into a high level up and comers. If he goes 3-2 he isn't a guy we need to consider but he has a lot of desirable things on that resume if he finishes strong.

Two games at Colorado State is not going to make that kind of difference. Currie is smart enough to know that we cannot go there. It would impact our AD financially and you are really reaching if you think that the power brokers would be ok with it.

Boom! #SargeforCoach

I have done pretty well in the Mississippi Youth Football Association. I have offensive and defensive experience. Ran a pro set offense with a lot of misdirection. And played a lot of man coverage on defense. I have also never met a blitz that I don’t like.

Ok you have the ball on the one 1st and goal . John Kelly is your running back what do you do?

Here is one thing that I know with certainty. Regardless of who the coach is, the vast majority of us are not going to "check out," be "done," or "pack it in." Even if we think that our new coach will be an abject failure, we are going to support our team. Not because we are currently talking out of our collective asses, but because we love our team and university that much. We are loyal to a T. That is not a bad thing.

I’ve been a vol fan for almost 40 years. I swear to all that’s holy if this hire gets screwed up it might push me over the edge on being a fan altogether.

Well, maybe not, I don’t know, but I might fall in a really deep depression for the next 5 years.

I’m with you, man. If we trot out a G5 coach not named Frost, I’m done. I am going to stop getting on here and keeping up with everything with our program, and I may not even watch games anymore until whoever the coach is proves he can win big. I’m tired of fully supporting this program and investing so much time to be constantly dumped on and the butt of everyone’s jokes.

He had some good offenses at Georgia but he's a Georgia grad so he's jumping to Athens as soon as he got the chance. (Hubbs said today Smart is not happy there right now.)

I don't really think what he's doing at CSU is all that impressive. Didn't McElwain have that thing rolling pretty well?

He did not actually say that Smart was not happy there; he said that, behind the scenes, Smart is saying that Georgia is not committed enough to football. He cited examples about schedules and special parking lots and other things. The gist of it was that he essentially wants more Saban-esque control, IMO.

Anybody else get the feeling this is another smoke and mirrors ploy by the coaching staff? Me thinks Dormady is done at UT.

Regardless of whether it's true or not, that this question even has to be asked is an example of the amount of distrust within the fanbase, and possibly locker room, for Butch Jones.

Butch is done, hopefully not Dormady.
