The only thing that saved Muschamp from being fired after the 7th game was beating a top Uga team. Had they lost to Uga he would have been fired after, which would have put them at 3-4, same record UT will have after Bama. That was also still in year 4 and had a top 10 sugar bowl season just 2 seasons before

That was year 4. Had he been kept and lost to SoCar, Uga and UT in the first 6 weeks he would have been already fired. It took beating a top 10 Uga team for him to not be fired in year 4, two years removed from an 11-1 sugar bowl season.

Well duh. Lane told many people he wish he never left while at US. Having worked at UT since Fulmers last year. Kiffin was my favorite coach to work around every day. Dooley being the least.

They didn't have an interim to finish the season? Who coached the bowl game? Richt didn't.

And it doesn't matter how it turned out, the fact remains that they turned the team over to an interim in mid season. Wasn't Dabo an interim also?

Richt didn't coach the bowl game but coached the entire regular season. How does that relate? We fired Fulmer with 3 games left and Dooley with a game left.
