Well, tell us the Cherokee news.

Can’t. Haven’t really been able to confirm it’s accuracy.

But I also don’t really think Gruden will coach here next year.

Do they go after him. Yes. Do they make a legit run. I think so.

Does he say yes. I don’t think so. I think he has interest and loves the attention.

For me, I would hire and name Frost my head coach next week.

And call it a day.

I don't see us sniffing the goal line on Saturday. It's going to be brutal. I doubt we get across the 50 more than 2 or 3 times.

Who cares? Just hire him

I think we could hire him. I just think the "make sure he can't leave for Nebraska" worries are something we'd just have to get over.

Like Aesius said - if we hire him, he's ours. Better chance he turns us down or picks Nebraska over us than leaving us after a year or two.

Apparently that important dinner Gruden had Friday night was just him with his son and some of his frat brothers.

So is SDS just a website where people go around twitter and message boards and then create articles based off fan opinions?

Pretty much.

Its the biggest click-whore going at the moment. Its like someone built a website based on those awful Facebook groups. Example, they were the runs that ran with Hurd's stepdad's little tantrum.

Sad.

I really don't mean to sound like a douche. Just aggravating. I'm saying the same. While Gruden would be a home run hire who knows how it'd translate. Rather Frost be our first & last call.

When can you realistically expect to hire Frost? If UCF continues to win, they're going to end up at a pretty nice bowl. It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where he passes that by. As a result, he wouldn't be announced until quite a bit after the end of the regular season.

I realize it's not as rare for coaches to be fired during the season, but it's still unusual for a coach in high demand to jump ship until such time as their highly successful season comes to a complete end.

I think the early signing period makes it much easier for a school to fire a coach earlier as opposed to later. But if you're looking to replace your guy with a Frost, the wait will be torturous.

I think Frost would leave unless he somehow made the playoffs. Some coaches leave at the end of the regular season, some don't. Urban Meyer stayed at Utah through the Fiesta Bowl before going to Gainesville, but Brian Kelly left Cincinnati for Notre Dame despite making the Sugar Bowl.

The day after the regular season is over.

Basically they're going to make a hire with a week or so left in the regular season. The problem is they're going to have to tell Butch (and the interim) they can't use any official visits because they'll have to save them to let the new coach blitz the three or four weekends in December before signing day.

Makes sense

This season has actually done some good for me. I haven't watched the Vols play since the UF game. Just so fed up with the coaching malpractice that is going on I will not watch another game this season. I keep up with them through Twitter and this board. I use to get so worked up over a loss that it would ruin my weekend and spill over to the next week.

I just don't let it affect me like that anymore...I don't know if I'm just numb to it all now, but I spend time with my family instead of watching the games. Definitely less stressed out.
