Update.

My unnamed connection #11 who works in Hutchinson KS on a certain Juco campus tells me Gruden stopped by earlier shaking hands and handing out everlasting gobstoppers. Apparently he is trying to grease the wheels so to speak and keep that UT pipeline intact. You heard it here 23rd folks. Its happening.

I work with a hoop of small colleges like that. You'd be surprised at the coaches from some.

I graduated in 95. We were terrible during my years. Dickson was very good in the late '80s and early '90s

'94 here, was part of a 12-2 '92 team that made it to semi's and got beat by Gallatin. I think HC was on a 5-6 yr run over Dickson back then. Good times.

Best thing going for Dickson is we have the second best player on the vols, Trevor Daniel. Imo

I read a lot of people started freaking g out about somebody leaking that mike bobo was a candidate on VQ, how credible is that? Sounds like somblebody was trying to stir the pot. If what Ron Swanson says To be true that's awesome news we can hope only hope though!

Not from Dickson, I live in Mont Co but have a few friends from Dickson back in the day. We played baseball against each other in high school and summer league back in the day. Way back in the day, like early 80's.

More from Hubbs...

Again, these things are fluid and ever changing. For example last time Jimbo Fisher indicated he would talk to Tennessee. I had that from multiple people and that's why his name was out there. 36-48 hours before they were going to talk Fisher got what he wanted out of FSU and backed out of talking.

I don't like to throw out random names right now, but I understand that's all anyone care about. Austin never said Bobo was going to get the job or even that they would talk to him. But everyone was begging for names so he threw out 3 names that are kind of three different levels if you will.

If I point three "big" names then everyone is going to say "hubbs says it will be one of these three guys". That's not where anything is right now at all. It's not even close to being in a place like that.

I think it will be interesting to see who all is interested in what jobs as we enter the silly season. It seems like in November every year there's talk of all these guys moving around and the domino effect of those moves but then more times than not we don't get that big move to create the domino effect.

McElwein wasn't Florida's first choice a few years ago. They couldn't get traction with a power 5 guy like Hugh Freeze to come to Gainesville.

People thought LSU was going to get Herman or whoever they wanted and they ended up with Orgeron because Texas outbid them.

Again, I know what you guys want and I totally get it. We are working and will work our butt off to get as much information as we can. This will be my fourth football coach search and my 6th basketball coaching search. And they are all very different. No two are the same so there is not "formula" or model for covering one.

They never said Bobo or anybody would be a candidate. Thankfully. Words just got twisted.
