Tonight Hubbs said Gruden wasn't a candidate last time. Someone bumped his post in the war room from 2012...

"while it's impossible to tell because Gruden isn't publicly saying anything specific in regards to the Tennessee job, he does seem to have legitimate interest in the job and there are those close to Gruden who continue to believe that if a change is made and Tennessee has a competitive offer sheet (read: greater than $5 million), it might be too much for Gruden to pass up. There are others who know Gruden who don't think he would come to the college game. And others who believe if somehow he did end up at Tennessee, then his staff would have a Vol feel to it"

Hubbs has gone so negavol he forgot what he reported last time around lol.

He's never had any trouble with any of that to my knowledge.

Not being able to keep it in his pants isn't an NCAA issue.

He had an affair with a subordinate and exposed himself and the university to a sexual harassment lawsuit. Arkansas had multiple grounds, including moral turpitude, to fire him with cause.

UT is very sensitive to anything that could lead to legal issues, especially involving women, sexual harassment, discrimination and/or Title IX. Petrino would be a risky hire. UT is risk-averse.

Hubbs reply...

It's been five years. And I was wrong tonight in the chat in saying that I didn't write that. Honestly, I don't remember writing that. In talking to people after the search was over, Hart never talked to Gruden and I don't think anything ever got close to being a done deal.

Again, tonight in the chat I was wrong about what I wrote 5 years ago. As I told someone today, the last 10 years seem like they have been about Gruden and I don't think he's ever been close to being the coach.

My apologies in the chat tonight.

Petrinos biggest mistake in offseason was the grantham/Sirmon trade. Not sure which side started that but sirmon is not a good D.C. At least right now. Position coach and recruiter but was awful in play calling at USC and Miss St. same thing st Louisville

Mike Bobo... I would literally die. Please tell me they aren't serious? I would have pitchfork and torch in hand and storm the presser if we hired mike bobo

Lol.

So one is winning program and one isn't. Thanks for making my point

Not a big spread, really. If you make it 20 years instead of 17, then UCF is 133-123 and CSU is 137-113.

The point was that they've been comparable the past two decades. It's not like we're comparing somewhere like BSU (which has been good for decades) and SMU (which has been garbage for decades). They're pretty comparable jobs.

But of course you're incapable of looking into anything for yourself or seeing the forest for the trees.
