Yeah. Gruden isn’t coming to coach here. Only the gullible truly believe that. This thread is fun but you have to suspend reality to believe. Same crowd as in 2012 and nothing has changed since then.

That being said I’d love to be wrong but it just isn’t happening. I think Frost is much more reasonable and probably who we’ll get. And I’d take him all day.

Wes updated saying that Currie doesn’t want to fire Butch officially until he has a replacement ready. Seems to confirm the back channels aspect of all this.

Yea I could see that which means the coach search or contract negotiations are going to speed up....sooon!

I have to chime in here. If any of you so called insiders or "in the know" are legit, thank you! I appreciate the updates even if they're vague. It keeps me very entertained at work. Gruden is #1 on my list and it would absolutely make me feel rejuvenated after 10 years of basement dwelling.

I'd say frost even more unrealistic than gruden. He's all husker for sure

I do think Butch will likely resign if he wants to continue coaching somewhere. Every game he coaches here hurts his stock. I don’t think anything happens till after Bama or possibly the first loss after that.

Urban to Ohio St was seen as a definite possibility. Harbaugh to Michigan was laughed at by pretty much every national NFL guy, including UM alum Adam Schefter, and almost all local Michigan beat writers, radio hosts, and sports columnists. Even after it was announced that Harbaugh and the 49ers were parting ways, very few people thought he would leave the NFL to go back to college. John U Bacon was pretty much the only Michigan insider who thought Harbaugh was a possibility.
