Im hearing grudens base contract could be as high as 8 million per year with a 5 million signing bonus and about a million just in bonus incentives

Where is tennessee getting this money remember 14 mil to buy out present coaches

This would make gruden the highest paid football coach in college football i believe

I don't see it. Gruden tonight announced on Monday night football.

If Currie and Jones met today, I'll bet the conversation went something like this:

Butch: What can I do for you today sir?

Currie: Have you been looking at VolNation? Some bearded guy and a few others think you should be gone. Even D4H.

Butch: D4H, isn't he wrong half the time?

Currie: Yes but what about the other half?

Butch: Yep, I've been looking. I don't think they like me there.

Currie: Some do, but it's less and less after every game that is decided on the last play. How do you do that anyway?

Butch: It's not something you can learn, you have to be born with it. So what are you going to do about it?

Currie: Easy Butch - Contract extension and bonus if you beat Bama by 3 touchdowns, real touchdowns, not field goals adding up to touchdowns.

Butch: Touchdowns? Been a while. Let me remind you that this has been the best week after a loss after a bye week. Isn't that good enough?

Currie: We'll talk on the plane leaving Lexington and I'm by then you will understand what being the custodian of Tennessee football means. Emphasis on the word "custodian". That is all.
