Not to go full nega.. but as things stand right now I’m not sure we’re a destination job. Can easily be made into one again.. but regardless of potential we’re not the team of the 90s.

If you consider a top 10-15 job a destination job than yes we are.

Even if he was interested, I’m super skeptical of him being successful in his first time coaching CFB and having taken a decade off from coaching.

He would peak a lot of interest with recruits and the hype would be astronomical, but I just can't be that delusional and think for a minute that Gruden will be the Head Football Coach at Tennessee. It's just not going to happen.

I don't even think he has thought twice about it. Why would he? He has a cushy job, makes a boat load of money and is able to spend all kinds of time with his family.

So now back to reality, Jimmy was talking earlier on the fan and mentioned names like, Justin Fuente, Veneable, Cameron, and Norville. Said Miles, Stoops, Kelly and patrino are names we wouldn't even consider.

Never mentioned Patterson, Frost, Taggert, Brohm. Seems like if they go that route of the Rinse and repeat approach we will be doing the same coaching search in five years against.

mock in media dept and hank hill is doing something where he is at practices and I think La vol has some good info but no clue to why or how and never thought Vols4us had anything more than what some of us have is a connection thru something

I see it now. Not Vegas, just a Prediction system it looks like. Still sad, but I'd be surprised if Vegas made us underdogs in that game.

I would be completely chilled with the entire situation if I knew, for an absolute 100% fact that Butch Jones will not be our coach for the 2018 football season. I'd still have some reservations and curiosity about how the UTAD would handle the situation, but I could relax if I was positive that he won't be back. And, at this point, there is just nothing that gives me that kind of assurance...that's what has me uptight about the situation.

The chances of that happening are very slim. I am chill because I have no control over it. My dad always told me that you can't worry about things beyond your control.

We know one thing for sure. He has told high ranking donors he is willing to pay well north of 6mil for the right coach. He 100% personally has told people that.

I am leaning towards a Frost or Brohm type coach.

Imagine if you fork out a ton of money for a “home run” hire and he doesn’t cut the mustard. Then you are stuck paying him a huge buyout. Then it really will be bargain basement time.

I guess it is a gamble either way.

No way. There is no turning back at this point. As with Dooley against Mizzou, I wanted to beat USC and still Butch would probably be fired.

Once it gets to this point, you can't take it back.
