I'll literally go on record and say Butch jones will be fired for sure, not necessarily this week, but will be fired. And I'll also say we're offering Gruden on record, but he may or may not accept the offer. That is what DTO did.

Every time I read a post that CBJ is going to be fired tomorrow I relax a bit. The. I read a post that Gruden has been offered and get excited again. Damn.....

Pretty sure I'm the only person that doesn't have any inside info when it comes to coaching searches & it's fahring time.

Need to step my source game up.

I do think he wants out. UT has met with counsel. Those meetings are privileged and not disclosed because no action is taken. They generally run the numbers for various scenarios. The BOT could meet by teleconference in the morning. I'd be surprised if that happens. But these situations are always fluid.

An interim plan is in place, if it comes to that. The Bama game isn't really a factor. Everyone's looking toward UK. That's the must-win.

I dont blame him. It is over and everyone knows it. Hell if he walks and Hoke or someone coaches next week i may even get the slightest bit stoked about the game.

They kind of were. I followed that thread enough to know the general tenor, and it wasn't: "Ok, boosters have lined up an offer, Gruden is interested, let's see if the administration can get this done." It was: "Gruden WILL be next coach. Done deal. 99.9%. MOU is signed. Just have to wait for MNF season to end. Etc."

I'm not saying Gruden in 2012 was a complete fairy tale, but the OGs definitely oversold how close we were.

I think they may have connections to some lower-level boosters who get third-hand info themselves. By the time it gets to us it has been twisted until it's unrecognizable and mostly false.
