Yup. Patterson is about the only other one I could go for but he'll be a tougher pull than Gruden or Kelly IMHO.

UT needs a proven, homerun hire. Those are the only 3 I see in the coaching landscape that fit my definition of homerun.

UT will absolutely decimate this football program if it tries to go another bargain $ experiment. They need a Saban/Alabama hire and IMHO Gruden gives them the best shot. He would give a Carroll/USC (w/out the NCAA drama) and Saban/Alabama type impact.

If you guys are wanting a good coach, a more realistic option would be randy sanders or les miles

Les miles honestly would be a perfect fit here..

Now I know you know nothing about football.
Please put a layer of that pa king tape across your mouth and around your fingers.
You can still keep packing but then with flippers. So you can’t embarrass yourself further

I have heard Scoot Frost from another source as well .... these things have a life of their own and no one knows anything 100% at this time.

Timing wasn't right before for Gruden who's son was in HS. Now a JR at UT. Time is right to come home and bring his wife's and son's school back to greatness. Build it into a powerhouse, then retire on top and open a moonshine business in Eastern TN. He has plenty of money but needs the control and $$ to put together a staff and program the way he wants, not the boosters.

Personal opinion as a Dad and Type A personality.

The problem with the ignore button is that you keep seeing the name popping up in the grey box.
It’s like hearing an annoying voice but can’t make out the words.
Can we get an anti troll button?
