I don't entirely disagree. But if (always the if) Lyle is fired after this Saturday and an interim steps in, nobody is going to think they have a snowball's chance at winning against Bama.

I realize there's not a chance of locking in a new coach by then, but if the scenario played out like I outlined, nobody could or should blame an interim for the loss.

The situation so lends itself to grant Butch Jones more rope, thus making the decision of Butch Jones tenure so much easier....many think he will hang himself given enough time:mf_surrender:
