At this point I'm thinking Butch is afraid JG will make him look bad for not playing him earlier like Dobbs did in 2014

I kinda think Butch wants to go ahead and get fired so he can get away from the pressure.


Just looking at him physically since he arrived in Knoxville it's obvious that it's taken a huge toll on him.

Here is the only thing that makes me disagree...
Right now this is only a 3 possession game. See if JG can spark some magic. If he gets rattled, he ain’t your guy. It didn’t affect Dobbs when he played against Bama.

Ok, so that was a couple reasons.

From day 1 JG has been an attention seeking type personality and we knew that from the production of his commitment. I think he has played rattled after being Lied to about playing in the first game. Coming into a game this late didn't work against an awful team in UMASS it isn't going to in this one. Give him fresh start in two weeks.
He doesn't have a Dobbs type mentality imo

He definitely wants that buyout. This is the most embarrassed I've been since the Butch tenure. At least I tried to blame injuries for Vandy last year
