Serious question:

For us to win East, we can only afford to lose to Bama, correct?

UGA schedule isn't very tough. Other than us, who on there could beat them? Auburn is all I see. Not sure that's realistic.

I'm confident we get through this weekend, but we still have UGA, LSU, and Bama to face. Granted two of the 3 are at home, but there is 0 room for error.

I don't think GA is beating the barn this year, but we can't go any worse than 10-2 and we must beat Florida and GA.

We could lose to UGA & bama and be out of the SECCG, but in a NY6 bowl. I'd be perfectly fine with that, but would rather be in the SECCG.

UGA will drop one they shouldn't. Always do. And Kirby sucks.

The coaches really like Moseley. He's a captain this week, so they'll be looking to him for leadership. Shamburger, Ignont, Johnson and a few other FR have had great practices and have gotten some early PT. But my guess is we'll use the experienced guys as much as we can, except for those positions where we have to use FR.

I'm sure UF will attack our corners early and often, and we'll be as ready as we can for that. Now that Wiggins is getting closer to 100%, we'll see if he can be a differencemaker.

I would like to see Gaulden at corner with Wiggins as the nickel.

No it was a team effort. Jk, the line, QD, Johnson all played lights out on offense in the second half. Someone had to get him the ball. I don't think hes preformed like a freshman. He looks like a player that hasn't played. He's got the tools and if he can continue to make good decisions he will be a good QB.

No I'm saying in general he shouldn't be looked at like a freshman

Ok that makes more sense. I don't look at him like he's a freshmen. He's a greenie and deserves a little slack but not much. Hes there to lead the team to the W. I see him as someone playing his first meaningful big boy football and like his decision making so far. Can it be better? Sure. What QB couldn't be. He hasn't lost, 5td 1 int. Now it's the meat of the schedule. Let's roll. If he doesn't progress or regresses go with the future.

Not sure if he's a better coach yet.

He's had better results thus far

Not arguing the results but those results may be tainted in the eyes of many, myself included.

Mac has been there for 2 years and in both of those years there is arguably a strong perception out there that we underperformed both years allowing Mac to take the East. Whether that perception is legitimate or not is what is argued but Mac's good fortune may have been our inability to close the deal which is different than him earning the East title outright. The same perception that sometimes haunts us also haunts Mac to some degree.

I think I've got this right. We were in control of our destiny with regards to the East both years. Mac didn't so much win it as much as we lost it. jmo.

In hindsight:

In 2015 if Jancek stops Florida on any one of 5 4th down attempts we win the East.

In 2016 if we beat South Carolina and Vanderbilt we win the East.

Now, obviously, it's an argument so there's at least 2 sides making a case. I think we're a better team than Florida this year moreso than the previous 2 years. At the moment the East could be ours again this year if we can close the deal. We just have to stay healthy and play defense. After all, defense, they say, wins championships. jmo.

Won't be a sellout, but might be more full than originally anticipated
