I like Taggart he's a winner.
I don't know that any elite coach would come to the only program in the country that has to beat Saban twice a year basically every year to get anywhere. Not while Saban has it rolling anyway. Once a year? Sure, lots of coaches will take that challenge. But not twice.
I don't have a definitive opinion on him one way or another, I'd like to see how his time at Oregon plays out first. I'm just saying that if we, hypothetically fired Jones last year, and grabbed WT most (not you and Lotto but most) would've cried that he was unproven and not the 7 time super bowl champion coach that UT "deserves".
A good coach would. Harbaugh signed up to play Urban yearly at the end of the year. Good coaches will come you have to pay them though.
We haven't dominated up front on offense since the first half of the Oklahoma game two years ago. We physically did whatever the hell we felt like doing. We have much more talent up front and at RB right now.

I know you love him but hiring Taggart would get killed by 75% around here as being "beneath us" as a program.
32-21 Butch Jones (1st 53 games as UT HC)
3-0 in bowls
32-21 Dabo Swinney (1st 53 games as CU HC)
1-3 in bowls
Dabo finished his 5th year 11-2 and a win in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Remember Clemsoning? Weren't they the butt of the media's jokes? Would y'all consider them elite now?
Can y'all be patient?
Wasn't the the initial reaction to Butch, for the most part?
I think his resume was pretty impressive. He went from RB coach at Stanford under Harbaugh to a UK team that had just entered the FBS 2 years prior (record 2-22 those first two seasons). He got them to a bowl by his 2nd and 3rd years.
Then he had another poor squad that he built into a 10 win team at USF.
Time will tell if he'll win big at Oregon, but I think he's a good fit there.

Who is that guy for Tennessee though?
