You should know by now that teams can change drastically in one year. And one special player can make a huge difference. Just think about how much better Malzahn's offense was at Auburn when he had Nick Marshall versus when he didn't. He was a genius with Marshall and a guy on the hot seat when he had Jeremy Johnson and Sean White.

This new QB Georgia Tech has is special. He has all the tools to run the triple option as well as it's ever been run at Georgia Tech. Just watch this kid is gonna be Paul Johnson's Nick Marshall. Just watch how good Georgia Tech is THIS SEASON. I think they beat Clemson in death valley this year and they'll win the ACC Coastal.

You think a defense who broke a lot of records in a bad way on Monday will suddenly turn into Alabama? You're more delusional than I thought.

So you think UT is going to give up an average of 260-275 the rest of the way? That's what it's going to take to finish in the Top 2.

It's an easy excuse to simply dismiss this dreadful performance because it was against an uncommon offensive scheme. But UT just put up the worst defensive showing against Georgia Tech since 2012, and that one was allowed by an FCS school that went 2-9.

The triple option offense run by GT rarely produces 535 yards rushing in a single game.

Georgia tech is better than all the teams in the East...(their record over GA shows) and probably Ark, Ole Miss, and Miss State. They would give Auburn and LSU a good game. They were 9-4 in a tougher conference than ours last year. Saying every team in SEC is better is comical at best.

GT's defense was horrendous as well. We won't have the luxury of playing trash defenses in conference play except for Mizzou and maybe Kentucky. If we can't control the line of scrimmage, we will be hurting.

Just look at our last five games.
2016 GT average 387 ypg (655 against ut)
2016 Vandy avg 355 ypg (608 against ut)
2016 UK avg 420 ypg (635 against ut)
2016 UN avg 318 ypg (380 against ut)
2016 Mizzu avg 500 ypg (720 against ut)

In 5 games we held one team within 100 yards of their average.
We held 2 teams under 300 App St and TN Tech, in the last 14 games 8 of them had over 400 yards.

Our defense is bad.

This reminds me of when you took joy in Dobbs bad game against South Carolina last year and was celebrating a little too early about my predictions for his stats that year. And just like clockwork Dobbs turns it on for about as good as a QB can in the month of November and hits exactly the number of TDs and almost the number of yards I predicted.

You're celebrating too early once again. Once we start playing traditional offenses our defense will be lights out. I actually liked most of what I saw Monday night from the defense. We just need to sure up the corner spot opposite Moseley and we need to make Bituli the starter ahead of Jumper and we'll be fine.

We're still gonna be top 2 in the SEC in defense.

Last year has nothing to do with this year but since you bring it up GT beat all those teams so again saying every team in the SEC is better is again comical at best

Not sure if you're missing the point deliberately or on accident. And yes, last year does have something to do with this year....the GaTech game was the continuation of a very bad trend with Bob Shoop as the common denominator.
