Jarrett Guarantano

We put up 42 points on 50 plays that is an awesome offense. somebody was doing something right to get that kind of production.

Pretty disappointed in JG honestly. I know the dude is a competitor and probably was told he would play. But at some point you have to be about the team and not yourself. Every time they showed him on TV he literally had no emotion and was separated from the entire offense. He very well could be better then Dormady but that won't get him playing time

That's is the smallest and slowest defense UT will see all season other than Indiana State.

C. Holloway was trying to talk to him at the end of the first quarter but it wasn't being received too well. What's so bad is I watched the Tech QB play at Harris Co. High School and he's tiny and has a terrible arm. I'm sure JG can run circles around that guy so Butch needs to give him some situational plays when the Team needs them. Since he's pouting then he's pissed so if he's a true competitor (which I think he is) he will continue to try to prove himself on the practice field. Regardless, an Ugly Win is better than an even Uglier Loss. Go Vols.

Sitting at home I was waiting on JG to be put in the game we were like "why not,Dormady isnot looking too good even with drops." Guess tthat's why me and millions of others are at home or on the bleachers instead of the sideline coaching. Dormady settlred in and played a lot better and proved he should of been the starter. It was not a good look for JG the way he was behaving so that might have played into him not playing. He will get some playing time this year, just has to show patience.

Yea I understand he could have been more of a team player...People have to understand this kid future at stake here..Butch knew who is starter was all along, so why lie to the kid and say he gonna play and u don't put him out there..Especially when dormandy looking like crap..The problem is butch dont want that kid to transfer so he held him hostage..

How do you know he lied to JG? Were you in the room with Butch and JG? Didn't think so. You need to stop believing everything you read here and you to STOP stating rumor as fact.

And another thing, your grammer makes it hard to take you seriously..

Maybe Butch didn't play JG because he's immature. Maybe we have another Riley Ferguson in him.

We keep recruiting great qbs, at some point you can't keep everyone happy. Big programs seem to have transfers every year. I really wanted to see JG, I still think we need to see him next week to make sure QD is the answer.

However, QD made maybe 2 questionable throws, but he settled down. The drops in the first half were so bad, I really think all of them were to set up conversions or put us in scoring position. He played a solid game overall.

JG better get his attitude in check because the truth is, it's a team effort and if he can't wait or is going to be negative energy it probably is best for him to transfer. But he's a snap away from being the man so I hope he gets engaged and quits looking like a baby on national tv. He's got potential to be special when he gets his chance.

Let's be honest with ourselves, if not for Callaway making Dormady look good, we would have lost by 21 points and Gurantano would be the starting QB for the Indiana St game. Dormady should have had 3 picks last night and one pick six. Looked a little like Justin Worley to me. Hopefully he will improve but don't count Gurantano out just yet.

As far as we know Butch told him that he wasn't starting right before they ran on the field. Far be it for me to criticize a 19 year old kid who plays the most important position in sports in the best conference in college football that he is not starting.

What'd I miss?

How exactly is one supposed to act/look while soaking up some serious pine?

Granted not an ideal situation he was making for himself, but I would of not been that thrilled to be in his shoes.

True but if ur not excited for ur teammates in a game like this then there is a problem..

I want him to play but if Butch doesn't sit him down and have a little heart to heart he could turn into Hurd pretty quick. I think back to Sherion Jones last year rallying the troops at Va Tech and there is quite a difference.
