american will never accept soccer until the National Team actually accomplishes anything. That's when women's soccer turned on. Until then, soccer players are just "Oh youre one of thoooose kids."

actually, it'll never catch on while America's love for the NFL remains high. Even though they are played at different times of the year.

Besides being a terrible game. The best athletes are actually playing real sports. You things the French don’t excel in.

You use the French success to prove that soccer isn't for real athletes, but fail to realize most of the team is just black people.

I don't enjoy soccer, but no one that knows anything about athleticism can deny their abilities and the conditioning of soccer players. I too am embarassed by VolBeef's posts. to be able to "bend it like beckham" (who I think is a major tool), is an amazing ability. To have that kind of footwork to dribble and pass and make the kicks they do takes a lot of practice and an incredible amount of talent.

I didnt say they dont run or cant kick a ball or that they are not in shape. I stated a fact that the best athletes in the world play football, basketball and baseball. Sorry if that hurts your feeling soccer boys but thats life.

Being as this thread was started as a joke and I only read the first few post, I didn't realize a serious soccer discussion had started. I apologize for trolling, however, I still stand by my thumbs down on soccer :p

the flow of the game is deliberate and not for everyone. and that is fine. but to claim that the best athletes don't play soccer is the single dumbest thing i have read on this site.
