Charlottesville white nationalists riots

Just had a chance to watch it all. If you have only seen bits and pieces, do yourself a favor and find the whole thing.

It is remarkable. It is frightening. It is alarming how out of control he was.

It's ultimately a reflection of how completely wrong he is for that office. Shame on him and anyone that tries to defend this absolute debacle.

Instead of watching the press conference, you were likely watching CNN and the Arm Waving Lesbian for your talking points.

I can't get over how someone, in no uncertain terms, condemns hate, violence and bigotry, yet for doing so, is said to tolerate hate, violence, and bigotry.

This is a legitimate jump the shark moment. People have lost their ****ing minds

I just heard what Trump said...... the media is perpetuating this BS and cowardly politicians are rushing to try and cover their asses.

He condemned the white supremacists ..... wtf else is he supposed to do? Antifa shares in the blame ..... he pointed that fact out..... if anyone watched any of the videos and tries to say otherwise...... they're a freaking idiot

Boo hoo. All you do is cry. SAD!

This is going to seem odd coming from a Liberal but this is how I feel:

Leave the statues in place. Like it or not they are part of our history. They were put in place by our American ancestors who believed they deserved to be there. They represent so much more than just a person. They represent the events of a place and time in human history. When we look at ancient Egyptian, Greek or Roman statues we don't overly obsess about the person depicted. What we really think about and try to understand is the civilization and people of the time. Many of these ancient statues are of some very bad people who had them erected themselves to honor themselves. But because someone preserved history we are able to understand this. We don't tear them down now because of who they were and fortunately they didn't either.

No, our statutes need to stand. The generals and soldiers on those pedestals were just people fighting for what they believed in at the time. If we are fortunate and don't destroy ourselves our descendants and future historians will be able to put it all in perspective.

If nothing else give people the chance to see them and wonder about how things were for themselves.

Just stopped in to say nice post.

Carry on.

The BBC has run a segment claiming online reaction GIFs showing black people constitute “digital blackface” and “white people” using “dark-skinned emojis” are guilty of a “form of cultural appropriation”.

Is this like when someone who is critical of UTfootball for Espn and we all say ESPN hates us?

I bet most of these libs didn't watch any of Trumps actual statements. They let the MSM propagandists distill it for them

ACLU says VA Gov knowingly permitted violence so he could have grounds to call it an unlawful gathering and declare an emergency

DHOPcQGWsAA37kZ

People are pissed at someone who had literally nothing to do with this, and has strongly condemned it

Yet not a peep about the people who had direct influence on this event and allowed it to spiral out of control

Just imagine if the parties were flipped

I'm starting to believe all of the conspiracy BS regarding Soros, Cloward-Piven, the media and etc. there's no other logical reason to justify the level of stupidity we're seeing

Georgia DEMOCRATS renewed their call to blow up the face of Stone Mountain that depicts Confederate generals. There is a precedent for these kinds of removal, as the TALIBAN blew up colossal Buddhas carved into cliffs in Afghanistan during its reign.

The desire to purge the past puts you in great company.

No matter what he said it woulda been wrong in many people's eyes. I despise the guy but this is an issue that is no win for him. I think he's best to just move on from the issue and not say anything else. Sometimes less is more.

The New York Times reports that University of Arkansas professor Kyle Quinn was over 1,000 miles away in Bentonville, Arkansas Friday night with his wife while having dinner and viewing an art exhibition, but left-wing Zealots claimed he marched with a white supremacist in Charlottesville at the time.

On Saturday, Quinn woke up to discover that internet activists were naming him as one of the neo-Nazis at the Charlottesville riot. They had incorrectly identified his picture from video footage and posted it all over social media with his name, accusing him of being part of the racist crowd.

That's ridiculous. It's like saying if we destroy it then it never happened. I'm proud to be a southerner but nothing can change what happened over 200 years ago. It was a completely different world with different values. Slavery was wrong on so many levels but people then nothing else. You can't move towards the future by focusing on the past
