Charlottesville white nationalists riots

But, but Obama! Muslims! Antifa!

Enough with the constant deflection. A neo-Nazi murdered a woman. And injured 19 other people.

The fact that most on this board are blaming liberals for the acts of a known Nazi is telling. You have bought Trump's world view without question. The absolute most divisive President in history.

He was correct in his idiotic statement. He really could murder someone on Pennsylvania Avenue, and none of you would care.

A Nazi murders a woman, and all of you blame liberals. Shameful.

Even back during the campaign. Over and over and over. MSM #fakenews wouldn't carry his disavowals. They only stirred up hatred.

I don't know how to find it, but an article ran linking how he had disavowed racism or KKK or white supremicists or etc virtually every day for several weeks in a row.

Dumb LibTARD Reporter: "Mr. Trump, why don't you disavow bad guys du jour"?

Trump: "Well, MSM #fakenews DLR, I did that yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that, and so on and so forth for many days now. How many times do I have to disavow the KKK, or racism, or white supremacy before you believe me"?

It became a phenomenon. One day he figuratively "threw up his hands in disgust" at getting the same question and went for a different rporters question.

All MSM #fakenews LibTARD reporters jumped on it and began banging the drum he had avoided the question because he was for glad for the endorsement of bad guy du jour.

You saps suck it up, cogitate on it, and spit it back out in even a greater form of lie than #fakenews spun from stardust. The truth is not in you.

Exactly like you folks jumped in on the Obama supports cop killers mantra

FYI to anyone thinking about replicating the Durham incident in Nashville, the well known Confederate monuments are on state or private property and not property controlled by Metro.

What has Trump done to be so divisive? Is he divisive simply because he's not Hillary? Is he divisive because he won?

But you approve of their message?

BLM, giving a voice to a minority? At its core, I support the message. I realize that most people on here don't see a problem. Most seem to believe that racism is dead and that there is no such thing as white privilege. There is. Can blacks succeed? Absolutely, but they have to work harder than most whites to do so. I support BLM's right to march and protest. I would draw the line at violence and stopping traffic. However, I would also note that most of their rallies were peaceful.

Antifa - Extreme liberal message. I don't agree with much of the message. I don't agree with the group's commitment to violence and destruction of property.

Semantics play no role here. You're apparently making things up as you go. Antifa is bad the KKK is bad. Its simple. Neither have a place in a productive society. What you want is an echo chamber. Debate is healthy and necessary in a Republic. Extremism and anarchy are worthless.

It is semantics. How do you define extreme? Where does extremism end and rational discourse begin? My assertion (which is my opinion only - it is not a provable fact) is that if you take the most extreme 1% from both ends, they would be comparable in their detrimental effects on society. If you went further to the middle, say the 5th percentile (or say the 2,500,000th most extreme person from each side) you would find that the one from the right is more extreme and detrimental to society.

Again, that's my opinion based on my observations, feel free to disagree.

What is white privilege?

I was primarily refering to antifa but since you brought it up, how are blacks at a disadvantage? They get preferential treatment when it comes to most everything including scholarships, government jobs, government contracts. If you are referring to individual racism and not institutional racism, BLM and groups like them galvanize the individual racist and to be honest create more of them with their own message of hate.

And to make myself clear, I support anyone's right to peacefully march and assemble including groups I disagree with such as the KKK, BLM, and whomever. Do you agree with the BLM chants of "...... fry'm like bacon"?

I haven't said that it was Trump's fault, but make no mistake he cultivated their support.

And how did he cultivate their support? He has denounced them multiple times pre and post election. Now if you mean he's emboldened them because of the hatred to from the extreme militant left like, antifa and company because he won and Hillary lost, I agree. I think you are seeing a response from the white supremacist in response to the hate groups on the other side.

No one has ever said racism is dead, on the other hand you and your side of the aisle tries to make every single R running for office appear to be a racist or support racist people. It's gotten very tiresome.

We all support BLM right to march just like we have to support the white supremacist right to march. Doesn't mean we have to like either sides views.

Obviously, none of this would've happened if there had not been any demonstrations. The racist groups wanted to have their day and they played by the rules. Unless we're going to start picking and choosing who gets 1st Amendment protection and who doesn't, those kinds of groups are going to get their chance to sound off in the public forum from time to time. What I don't understand is why other people feel compelled to have counter demonstrations and provoke, or even start, violence against speech. If the counter protesters had stayed home and had their counter protest the next day, nobody would've been injured or killed and the racists groups would've gotten little to no media coverage.

White privilege is a myth. Racism is certainly not dead, you see that with BLM and white nationals. Blacks don't have to work harder than whites. In government it's the opposite. BLM rallies get violent without opposition. This rally this past weekend was peaceful, until the counter protesters showed up and fights started. Then the douche runs over people in his car, that was certainly not called for.

Or had them across town. All they accomplished was give the white nationalist more attention and probably a bump in membership.
