Charlottesville white nationalists riots

The media is in full swing with the rhetoric, using key trigger words in their headlines that they know are going to get a response.

So is Fox. I watched this morning and every thirty seconds they repeated the Mantra that the counter protesters are all being bussed in, as though that was the cause of the violence

Blame antifa. They militarized first and forced the right-wing to take the same approach.

Agree

And media offers very tepid condemnations if at all. WAPO did a feature on some antifa scum just this week

Hell DeBlasio JOINED them in Germany for ****s sake

Blame others for "forcing" them? Isn't this supposed to be the personal responsibility party?

I don't think anyone is saying these people aren't responsible for their actions. He's saying there is an environment created which has encouraged this kind of behavior

Stupidity got things rolling, imo. Stupid white trash and stupid black trash in the same area is a powder keg when they are emotionally charged.

I agree. I'm trying to find out why LG thought to compare scarnarios when there is no comparison.

It was just the far righties last night, right? Did anything get destroyed while they were looking for Dracula?

Calling people retarded is exactly what I'd expect from you. I answered your question, you just don't like it. UVA Med and several businesses started shutting certain aspects down in preparation for today, because of the protest scheduled by white nationalists. They brought freaking torches. That's where it started.

So you condemn the "who started it" argument, then make a "who started it" argument

So when do we start tearing down monuments in D.C.? After all, both Washington and Jefferson were slave owners.

You can't erase history. All of these Confederate monuments being removed or destroyed, that's what they're attempting to do. Honestly, a monument only has the power you give it. Maybe some see these monuments and think they commemorate heroes. When I see them, I'm reminded of a very dark time in our country's history. They don't represent goodness(to me), they represent sadness, and ignorance. A time when our nation was divided like no other time before. And now we're reliving it as groups fight each other over something so trivial. Perhaps we do need these monuments to remain, just to remind us where this kind of violence leads. It's just sad to me that skin color is still such a decisive issue in today's world. And skin color is what all of this boils down to. People are people. Skin color shouldn't mean a damn thing.

That would be great except that some seem to want to point to them with pride just to antagonize blacks.

And Louis Farakhan preaches about all white people being evil. What's your point? There are always idiots spouting outrageous beliefs, but that doesn't mean they represent a majority, and it certainly doesn't call for a response every time. Sometimes it's just best to shake your head and realize, dumb can't be fixed.

Robert E. Lee of Virginia (1807-1870), who once wrote, "The blacks are immeasurably better off here than in Africa, morally, physically, and socially. The painful discipline they are undergoing is necessary for their further instruction as a race, and will prepare them, I hope, for better things."

Yet, since he was a Confederate General let's remove him from history but keep Jefferson and Lincoln.

Where'd tums' other post go? I didn't think it was that bad.

I do think it's an interesting approach to just use whatever outdated insult you feel like using, then call anyone who expresses disapproval a "sissy." I would say to try that with the n word in a black neighborhood and let me know what happens

Is that quote supposed to be a positive? Lol

As long as they don't interfere with anyone then I have no problem with the protests, just as I would have no issue with the BLM protests if they didn't block traffick and left people alone. People want to complain in groups? Great. Just don't mess with others or you'll get what's coming to you and deservedly so.

Tell me. I would assume it's part of the movement across the country to eliminate such monuments, or to move them to more appropriate locations.

I would suppose that is the case. It is a movement, as you said. My question to those people in city council is why did they feel the need to join in this movement?

I guess I'm just not big on doing like the Taliban and erasing history or erasing monuments. If people want to openly show support for their past heroes, whether you think it is ignorant or not, that is a teaching moment and learning opportunity for the opposition, in my opinion. I say, allow them to have their monuments and heroes, and at the same time, the opposition can be able to clearly point to who supports those institutions. Now you're going to drive the opposition into the underground where they won't openly express their opinions and beliefs. To me, that is more dangerous.

Nazi and KKK movement is so dumb. Yet the media globalist agenda is working in here. Dividing everyone. Wake up.

No, let these two sides fight it out and hopefully purge the earth of their silliness. They're too dumb to realize that they are being played against each other.
