HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I think her madness has already started. I will disagree about Jon sitting the Iron Throne. I think he sacrifices himself to save the world

What madness? Is Dany ruthless when necessary? Yeah sure, but insane? No freakin way. Aerys was an INSANE psychopath, not just a hardass ruler who didn't take any crap.

She fed a innocent dude to a dragon. She gets the benefit of being viewed as a protagonist. So we cheer her and Arya for doing the same things we hate the villains for.

If this theory is true I'm willing to bet The Hound is a Wight too. I have wondered how he could have survived his wounds.

"The Lord of light isn't done with him yet"

Nope..in the books those monks he was with found him almost dead, and nursed him back to health IIRC. Plus..the lord of light doesn't just pop em back to life without a priest or priestess doing their thing.

Seriously? That makes her insane? Was Genghis Khan insane because he destroyed the whole city of Samarkand because their ruler was a idiot? And another thing Dany has benevolent qualities also. I dont believe she wants to be a tyrant. Arya is on a mission for justice. She has showed great mercy to the innocent at great risk to herself, the people she has killed deserve it.

Yes destroying a city cause one guy is an idiot is insane. Sure Dany had good qualities. So did Aerys at one time too. Once upon a time he was considered a great king. He went crazy after Duskendale. I expect Dany to snap after one of her babies dies.

As far as Arya, she made dude pies and fed them to their dad. Justified or not that's crazy. I'm sure Walter Frey felt justified during the Red Wedding.

Maybe Dany will go crazy, but there's a clear distinction between her and the other guys who've shown the madness in the series (Viserys and Joffrey).

Dany is clearly more like Rhaegar than Viserys or Aerys.

I think we'll all have a better understanding of The Mad King and his madness by the end of this season (hopefully)

We are going to have to disagree then. I worked in a psyche ward for awhile. I know what insane is. Insanity is loss of faculty, not being a ruthless son of a *****. Neither Dany or Arya are clinically insane. You are applying your modern sensibilities to this. And Walder Frey wasn't insane either. Whether he felt justified or not..He got served cold.

Are too. :) Did you complete your mourning for the tragic Dothraki chieftains who were merely detailing her scheduled gang rape involving themselves, all their men and select horses...before she viciously pushed the torches over? I remember that really bothered you. :)

I don't mourn those Khals. I just don't see Dany as righteous.

She is more righteous than they were.
I think they were going to enforce a punishment pursuant to their laws and customs. She was subject to those same laws and customs by virtue of marriage but went renegade and used force to overthrow the power structure. All those poor Dothrakis are going to get mowed down by armored knights. How are they better off?

Becoming a crone is viewed as an honor in their society. Not a punishment.
