same old same old. he's good...he's bad. un uh....yes he is...no he's not.

just getting old at this point. lots of good. lots of bad. we'll see what happens from here going forward....that's all that matters at this point. the endless bickering doesn't change that.

but i know this...i'd prefer us to just come out and kick some azz this year and put it all to bed. or course, we could come out and suck out loud, and put it to bed too.

which one would you rather have?

Here's another good question. "Whom do we hire to replace Butch that's worth a damn"?

Here's your answers:
GRUDEN!!! - "I heard he owns land in Tennessee. He doesn't have any HC experience at the college level but I'm going to assume he's better than Butch!

CHIP KELLY!!!! - "He was a beast at Oregon even though he sucks in the NFL and doesn't prefer recruiting kids to his school. His style of offense will run all over SEC defenses! He's better than Butch!"

DAN MULLEN!!!! - "He coached up Prescott even though he's been average at MSU ever since he went to the NFL. Even though he lost to UK, South Alabama, and almost lost to Miami (Ohio), he's still a good coach who's an upgrade over Butch!

No, I'm serious. Tennessee would never pay what a Super Bowl Champion coach would want to come here. Nick Saban would probably pay him a few million to turn us down. There is Zero chance he comes here.

The fact that there is even a question to ask is really sad.

CBJ figuring it out is what is best for Tennessee football at this point.

My post was making fun of him always bringing up Gruden. Nobody says anything about Gruden until he does. Then it's always him making fun of others bringing up Gruden. Lol. My jig is up the news is out.....

What is really crazy....is we call ourselves a top 15 football program...but can't get a top 15 coach. And the problems started way before CBJ got here. The boosters and administration with their decision making drove UT into the ground. Fulmer had his hand in as well.

CBJ really needs to become a top coach in the SEC if he wants all fans/media to pat him on the back. He has proved he is better than Dooley. Ok....5 yrs in and all your players and coaches..take it to next level.

Him and BOT double teamed me once in a Gruden thread. If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't notice either.

Winning 3 straight bowl games means you just underachieved 3 straight regular seasons then got matched up with a severely overmatched team that somehow had a comparable regular season resume.

Kinda joking. Kinda not.

And pay him $10M so we don't keep hearing the too damn cheap talk. Does it amaze you like it does me that with all the "sure things" out there in coaching land that there are always so few contenders for the top spot - and so few blue blood programs filling the spots?
