What's our excuse this year?

QB will be a catch 22 because Jones could start QD at the beginning of the season with poor results, then switch to JG after the Bama game and see 4-5 wins + bowl game. I think he steers clear of using QB as an excuse. Probably going to talk more about breaking in new guys due to NFL attrition because it's a way to toot the horn in a positive way while also throwing out an excuse.

No excuses. I expect we will be 10-2 or 9-3 minimum. Won't need excuses. 9-3 will be a springboard for next yr. when Dormady or JG and Ty will dominate.

My excuse for this year is "Every game we lose, we will be outscored by our opponent" I think I am 100% correct in this excuse, but feel free to shoot holes in my theory.

You forgot to create the poll. Never thought I would gripe about that.

I hope there are no excuses. There are very few left in the book Butch has not used. If the high number of changes in the staff were the right ones, he shouldn't really need any.

Oh, there will be plenty:

- Injuries (even if they occur nowhere to last year's extent)
- Had to break in a new QB
- Lost a lot of guys on defense (even though a lot of them that graduated/went to NFL didn't even play much last year due to injuries)
- New offensive coordinator
- Tough schedule (Florida, Alabama on the road, draw LSU from the West)
