Jauan Jennings in Beast Mode

I think his game as a WR is a lot like Anquan Boldin. He's not a burner but he's a tough guy with strong hands that out muscles people for the ball.

I personally hope we don't throw many 50/50 passes. It's not a high percentage pass. LOL. How about some slants, fades, posts, corners, etc. We need to be able to throw the deep ball to open all the short yardage plays that Butch uses.

If he isn't on the SEC preseason first team, I'll be shocked.

All American by the end.

Jennings belongs on defense - with the attitude that every pass thrown is to him. He's certainly demonstrated the ability to go up in a crowd and come out with the ball. An interception is worth way more than a simple completion.

Not if the completion is for 6 points, my friend....

I've always said that. He is an NFL safety, but I know we can't move him at this point, not this year at least. Honestly, I don't remember a player at UT who could probably play any position on the field, WR, QB, Safety, heck, I honestly believe if you asked him to play LB he could do it. He's just a max effort guy on every play, and such an intense competitor. It would probably be better for him if after this year he was moved to safety to prepare for the NFL. He has always reminded me of Deon Grant, with even a little more attitude. Can you imagine him patrolling the middle of the field on Defense? I can assure you opposing WRs would think twice about coming across the middle! ha

His intensity and ferocity reminds me of Jack Tatum, one of the most feared hitters in the history of the game...

People saying they're worried about Jennings getting ejected..I get what you're saying, but I think he's aware of his "questionable" behavior on the field. Hell, he got two USCe players ejected last year (one of the few highlights from that game).

Very excited about this group. They're young and hungry, also very talented with loads of potential. Jennings, let's not forget about Smith, Johnson, Callaway, Williams and I'm sure someone like Murphy could come in a compete for playing time too. Should be interesting to see Dormady or JG spread it around.

Dobbs couldn't throw as many different passes as Dormady will be trusted to do. Players rave about Dormady's passing ability. He throws a very easy to catch ball, which might seem like a weird thing to say until you've caught balls from a QB that doesn't deliver a very catchable ball. And I'm talking about spiral and how the ball arrives, not accuracy. The coaches hinted that there would be more plays from under center as well. This is also because they trust Dormady to do more behind center, in terms of 3 and 5 step drops and reading defenses. Kid has a live arm too. Can get good velocity while maintaining accuracy.

Canales will help his footwork and mentality as a leader. I'm expecting Dormady to be just fine running this offense.

But it will also help to have someone like JJ. Someone that QD or JG knows they can go to when they need a catch. I'm hoping Wolf can develop into a role like this as well.

I was impressed with Brandon whenever he got touches. Really tough with the ball. I love aggressive receivers.
