So it's wildly optimistic to call Orgeron a five year plan? :)

I don't think you focus on year 5 when hiring a coach. You focus on being the best team you can as soon as possible. I think LSU will be very, very good the next few years with that staff.

You hire the CEO to oversee your program for the foreseeable future. Hiring the right staff should be a major part of that business plan...not the whole. Seems short-sighted. And these coordinator hires were in flux well after Orgeron was hired. Had to money whip Aranda to keep him away from Texas. Canada is a rising star, but not 100% proven elite quantity. I'm not sure how much credit goes to Aleeva for the PLAN in bringing this together.

Correct. When you have elite coaches, other top programs want them and they require raises to keep them.

I believe LSU has 2 of the best in college football and Orgeron needs to recruit, give incoherent Cajun rah rah speeches, and let them do their jobs.

Hire Aranda and allow him to hire Canada and skip the middle man. This was for recruiting purposes exclusively. Recruits and current players know the difference and this makes the whole mess more inept when Aranda inevitably takes over.

Va Tech was eating the Vols alive with the fullback in the 1st half. Eventually TN hit some big plays and pulled away. Considering the job he did at Memphis and winning the Coastal Division in his 1st season of what many viewed as a rebuilding year in Blacksburg, I believe Fuente will have a big time job sooner rather than later.

So Butch and staff made adjustments and out coached Fuente. Got it
