To Protect and to Serve II

This part is great. Fully agree.

This part is asinine. Majority are simply doing the job the best they can. If they want you out of your car, you're coming out. They will tow it and guess what, you cannot ride on a towed vehicle. This simply makes everyone's day more difficult.

I think you misunderstood. I meant to get out of the vehicle, and lock upon your exit.

I did. I apologize. Thanks for clarifying.

If an officer needed to search, ...a suspect matching your and your cars description was seen leaving a pharmacy theft, under what circumstances would you allow the searchm

You're always going to have the naive cop haters to deal with

I know. Face-to-face discussion is much easier about this topic. I'm typically very easy to get along with, especially on subjects with which there is a fundamental difference in opinion.

That's why I generally do not engage in discussion in this thread...much.

Maybe someone can confirm this, but when a cop runs a plate doesn't it come back that the owner has a cc permit?

Would you let police search your property for say, a missing child? You accompany them of course. Not a kidnapping, just a kid that wandered away from the playground or something like that.

No. Not without a warrant. I would probably inform the officer that if I saw the child, I would be sure to let them know.

If i tell the officer i have CC and firearm, I do NOT reach for it! If officer trigger-finger feels endangered, I let him retrieve and secure the weapon.

CC 101. You also tell the LEO where the gun is located and you keep your hands on the steering wheel until told to do otherwise. You never reach in the area of the gun unless instructed to do so. Then you move very slowly.

Legal terminology.

How would you put their mind at ease the child wasn't on your property?

Honestly, it really wouldn't be any concern of mine to put their mind at ease. As I stated in my edit earlier, I would let the cops know if I saw the child at some point.
However, if a neighbor came by looking for their child I would gladly search with them.

However, on the other hand if a neighbor came by looking for their child I would gladly search with them.

Just trying to figure out where your lines are.
