D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

I don't gamble. What I have put at stake however is my reputation. I've never been more confident in a player than I am in Josh Dobbs. Especially now that he ends up in a perfect situation like Pittsburgh.

And I think you're 100% full of sh**.

I don't think you actually believe any of this, you're just making a bold predicition in case it does happen and hoping beyond all hope that somehow it comes true.

And it's because you've hooked your wagon to Dobbs and so far not one of the damn "bold" things you've predicted he'll do has come true. He didn't win the Heisman, he didn't lead the team to a National Championship, he didn't lead them to the playoffs, he didn't lead the team to an SEC Championship, and didn't even lead the team to an SEC East Division title.

He wasn't the first QB taken in the draft, he wasn't a first round pick, and you whiffed on the first 3-4 predicitions on where he'd be picked and what his "perfect situation" was.

All you've done is whiffed, then doubled down with the next prediction and made excuses as to why your last one didn't happen. And this is it. THIS is the final round. There is nothing to double down on after this. Either he has to be one of the best QBs in NFL history or once again you have to fall over yourself to make excuses as to why it didn't happen. I mean what's after this, you predict he becomes the best Aerospace Engineer in history?

To have stakes there must be some degree of established value. At this point in time you are essentially bereft of any positive value regarding your reputation. If your current success in prognostication were clothing you wouldn't be able to leave your house without being arrested for indecent exposure. You need a LOT of things to go right in the near future just to, keeping with the metaphor, cover your arse, much less look like you have any actual gift in evaluating talent.

In any case if the boldened is true you should fear no wager. Have fun with it. Maybe the loser of the bet has to change their avi to a Jon Snow "I know nothing" meme?

Bravo, 👏👏👏👏👏

I couldn't help but laugh. You've proven in debate after debate that you're about average in terms of logic. You consistently contradict yourself. I've seen so many posters on this board take you to school in logical debate.

You do know that most smart people never brag about how smart they are because they know they're dumb in comparison to smarter people?

I'll test you. Despite this being a bad QB class, why were there 3 QBs taken in the top 15?

Because GM's are DUMB. :)

All those other predictions were based on the fact I knew how great of a pro QB he would be. Because I knew Dobbs was a future NFL legend I thought he would also be a legend in college. But alas that is not what usually happens. Usually NFL legends are guys who don't win the heisman or national championship in college. Typically they have careers like Dobbs. They are individually great in college But it's the rest of the team or coaches that fail them.

I underestimated the fact it takes 11 guys on offense and defense as well as competent coaching to win championships in college. Dobbs at Tennessee like many eventual NFL legends was held back by his college coach and teammates (in Dobbs case the o-line). In Pittsburgh, he won't have those drawbacks. He will go to the most consistent franchise in the NFL since 1970. He's also gonna be surrounded by incredible talent on offense. And he came in with a great draft class that has a chance to be legendary.

Its inevitable that Dobbs becomes a superstar QB at Pittsburgh.

Sometimes I think D4H is trolling but then he will say something every now and then that I agree with. Kamara being a great fit with the Saints is one example.

Saints have a chance to be a super bowl team next season. I love their moves this off-season. Adrian Peterson will have a huge comeback year. That defense has added some good young players the last 2 drafts. And Alvin is the perfect fit in that offense.

They are my favorite to win the NFC South. Falcons are set up for a disappointing season. It happens almost every year to the team that loses the superbowl. Cam is recovering from a torn rotator cuff so I don't see Carolina winning it. The biggest challenge to the Saints should be Tampa Bay. But I think the hype gets to them. Most people think they're gonna make the leap this year. And typically the trendy team everyone picks to surprise rarely does.

And if the Saints make it to the playoffs, who knows? They just might make it to the Super Bowl. How cool would it be if it was Steelers vs Saints in the Super Bowl. Dobbs & Cam vs Kamara. Would be amazing to see. And I think there's a good chance it occurs.

But I thought you were really smart.....

I'm smart because I know how to learn from previous mistakes. Thinking a future NFL legend should also be a legend in college was a mistake I've learned from.

This is one of the main reasons I'm not high on guys like Deshaun Watson and Leonard Fournette. Typically the college legends like Vince Young and Reggie Bush end up as busts in the NFL.

Oh man you just get better with each post.

You're "really smart" and can make such awesome NFL analysis yet didn't even know basic s*** the average NFL fan knows.

You're either a troll or quite possibly the dumbest poster here.

Rather than making grand declarations of "fact" without a single iota of doubt, and then learning from the experience when they fail to pan out, why don't you try doing the learning first? That way you might actually come off as smart rather than having to claim your own brilliance while coming off as a moronic jackass.

D4H, have u ever heard that old saying "it's better to say nothing and let people think u are stupid, than to speak and prove them right" or something like that? Let your Draft Review speak for itself and don't argue with everybody. Give it a year and either say "I told u so" or "My bad, I was wrong". When u said u never saw Peyton play at UT, I knew I was right and u are young and passionate about your opinions. Don't let these guys bait u into arguing with them, because u are losing. State your predictions and let them ride. The more u argue with them, the bigger the hole, u have to climb out of

Flame away guys. I can't help it, I gotta help the underdog

Encouraging him to keep going like he has been isn't helping him at all.

And he's not an "underdog", unless you think pompous jackasses who run their mouths and get called out for it are "underdogs".

Too many people scoff and reply to the posts he makes. Just encourages him further.

It helps to stop feeding him. A stray cat won't hang around where there isn't any food. Stop responding and his threads end up buried like a cat turd the way they should be.
