No. In the App State and UGA games you can point to 2 very real, very specific plays that directly turned the outcome of the game in the opposite direction. Without those two plays, we lose, plain and simple.

You cannot do that in the 3 losses you're talking about. You're discussing 3 nebulous things, "breaks that would have gone our way".....two very distinctly different things. There simply aren't 3 individual plays from those 3 games that similarly change the outcome of the game like the 2 plays vs App St and UGA did.

Considering how many times these "Selected 15" teams play each other, and other Top 25 teams from the polls, it is almost like double elimination with the College Football Playoffs. Most of these teams play each other 2-3 times each.

2 losses and you're out.

Well really just the Ga, game due to it being a walk off play.

The App st game had more game left whether we scored a TD a FG or nothing.

But I get what you are saying.

Lord this back and forth crap gets old... the post was about how UT could be one of 15 teams in the playoff picture and it turns into how bad we sucked last year.

It would be nice if one thread stayed on topic. . You know.. how we compare talent wise to those other 14 teams... what our strengths and weaknesses may be.. but no... always this crap..

I live in the Birmingham area and all I hear if they ever do Speak of us they constantly are saying we are going to have a down year, maybe 7 wins. It's all I can do to keep from puking all over the radio dial. Butch has to show us what he is made of in 106 days, I'm tired of these type of discussions.

I agree with what you're saying,it needs to stay on topic. I was posting with someone else in another thread about this very thing. On topic, I'm glad we are even being mentioned as a possible team to win it all but I don't see it happening.
Watching the back and forth is entertaining tho. It's like the old Whack-a-Mole game,a negative remark pops up a posivol beats it down and a positive remark pops up and a negavol beats it down.

Probably not because I think we're gonna have a pretty good team then, but that's how history has gone. I think they're our only opponent that has a winning record in Neyland.

Edit: Confirmed. UF is 11-12.

Precisely! Other fans make a fake account and pull for us. But they complain,whine,amd say how bad we suck. We have to stay positive and 100% VOL us true fans
Don't let recruits see nothing but negavol. Go Vols!

My money's on "Bunch"!

We'll beat Ga Tech. Team 120 had some wormholes in it from game one. If John Kelly had been RB2 from Day One, we would have had a better and more reliable season (read "we would have beaten the teams we should have beaten). I firmly believe this. Buy, that's only worth 2 cents.

I wonder if the boards of the other SEC schools have the same problem. I am aware that some of them will ban some fans when they criticize their programs. Who is the monitor of this board?
