yup, when it rains it pours. part of I-20 shut down in Atlanta due to a gas leak.

and this is after a chemical spill shut down the downtown connector (75/85) this morning (back open)http://www.ajc.com/news/traffic/breaking-drivers-charged-crash-chemical-spill-downtown-connector/RkAp9HQ1Vm9OtcYwpt8yzO/

and none of this is realated to the 85 bridge collapse.

The traffic map in Atlanta is becoming a joke. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Atlanta,+GA/@33.7213859,-84.4611252,11z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x88f5045d6993098d:0x66fede2f990b630b!8m2!3d33.7489954!4d-84.3879824!5m1!1e1

merge if necessary.

One of the stations reporting it buckled as a motorcyclist went over it. Flung them 10-15ft in the air.

yeah, looking at the pictures I am not sure why they say it buckled. it looks like it exploded. That picture is deceiving that pile is actually about five feet out of the ground.

We had three water line breaks on our street in about a 6 week span last fall. The public works guy said because of the drought the ground around and under these older pipes is settling and they're breaking.

Atlanta still has some clay pipes being used for water at least. they pulled out a 5'-0" section next to my office about a month ago.

I read somewhere it was due to a gas leak. Think it was WSB reporting that

When I came through that area, traffic was a parking lot for 10 miles on I-20 and growing.

It's not over... never will be some say.

Sherman's march to Atlanta...
To slow down Sherman, Beauregard instructed Taylor to “cut and block up all roads in advance of him, [and] remove or destroy supplies of all kinds in his front” while Wheeler’s cavalry harassed his flanks and rear.

Sherman's ghost for sure. He captured Atlanta by cutting off all the railroads leading into the city. Now all the highways into the city are being cut off.

It seems like they are perpetually doing that, yet every time I drive through Atlanta the traffic situation and roads look the same.

When is that big project on 75 from about Acworth until it hits 285 going to be completed? It seems like work there has been going on for about 5 years.

Supposed to be opened in 2018. It's going to be a 30 mile, 2 lane HOV road.
