Well, I'd say that seals the deal on Trump completely antagonizing his alt-right numbskulls.

Here's the truth of what's really going on lately: I think Trump is finally listening to some of the worldly people in his inner circle: Mattis, Tillerson, McMaster. They're telling him what most everyone here already knows as fact: NATO is a good thing. Not a perfect thing, but it's been around since the end of WWII and hey... no WWIII.

I'll probably regret saying this, but... I'm cautiously optimistic that the Donald MIGHT be turning the corner. It looks like he may give Bannon the boot (good thing), he's stopped tweeting total retard ****, and I honestly don't have anything bad to say about his performance over the last couple weeks.

I'm in if this is the new Donald.

There has definitely been a positive sea change. If it's a result of tuning out Bannon, then maybe that was the problem all along.

He also said it was unlikely the Russians knew of the chemical attack ahead of time, although everyone else in his administration for the last few days says they likely did know.

Tomorrow: "Mexicans are very nice people. I know many Mexicans, believe me. They contribute bigly to America and they work very hard to make America great again. Mr Nieto, tear down that wall!"

"Should we tell him, or..?"

Has NATO committed to reforms, or increased monetary support from the European members?

If he reverses his position on about 10 more issues, I may end up being a supporter. I seem to like him every time he does the opposite of what he promised, which luckily, is quite often.

Nah we dont need people like you. Its ones like you who have helped turn this country into the laughingstock toilet bowl that it is now. Stay on your entitlement, smowflake side. Because if you become a Trump supporter, your IQ will go up and you will grow a pair.

Well reasoned post; I think by the mere reading of the post my IQ went up 2 points.

For some reason I found it prudent to add the blue.

You make a good point, at this rate the majority of this board should hate him for being a Democrat by August. But he at least the dollar is now too strong!

The reason he said this the NATO director said today at the press conference "yes, all nations need to pay their fair share".

So why is it a big deal he is reversing? Sounds like he basically said were not paying 70% of the NATO bill anymore and that it needs divided equally.

Does anyone know where this man really stands on anything? He may tweet tomorrow that he never said what he just now said and Spicer will double down.

Also reversed on China as a currency manipulator, and on the Ex-Im Bank.

These reversals have all come in one week.

The U.S. has never paid a "NATO Bill" The U.S. is the largest country in NATO with the Largest GDP. We only spend 3.2% of our GDP on defense.
