I would post some about the braves, but I'm not expecting much. Bullpen looked horrendous. If we win games, it will be from starting pitching and the first 5-6 bats in the lineup.

If you look at geography and its role in traditional sports fandom, it's hard to beat what people in East TN have suffered through with the Vols, Titans, and Braves over the past 15 or so years.

Not sure there's any other combination of professional and collegiate teams that are commonly paired together among fans that have been worse for an extended period of time like that.

Bullpen is terrible. I love the lineup and think the pitching is pretty good. Teheran is an ace and I think Folty will be special eventually. But dang that bullpen is bad.

Atlanta sports fans might have it worse based on just how close they've gotten to success and then still somehow managed to drop the ball. And losing another professional team on top of that

What team did they lose? I thought they gained a MLS team

I'd love for the Vols, Braves, or Titans to have even sniffed real success recently. I know it's painful in a different way, but at least it gives you some hope.

15 years might be a bit too long, though. Maybe more like 12. I think the suck truly started around 2005 for all of those teams, as all three were still pretty good in the early 00s.

Titans have made the playoffs twice since 2005. Braves have made it four times. UT is 82-63 with one division championship and four bowl wins.

Question I got roasted for yesterday... do you consider a true fan if you are a fan of Vols football and a different team of basketball... like a school (that doesn't have a football team).... or one that does....

Would you consider them a legit fan...?

Would you still root for UTBB if they were to play your other team

Listening to the CBS Tony Romo teleconference. Getting the Emmitt Smith broadcasting career vibe. :scare:

Yes.

Might be a little different there. I would assume there is some sort of connection whether it be a spouse, place you grew up, first game, someone you know plays there, etc.

He went there with his cousin and started liking college basketball because he went there and enjoyed the environment... hence became a fan...
