Ukraine II: The Fight Against Russian Aggression

The leader of the free world meets Trump

When Angela Merkel is the leader of the free world, something has gone very, very wrong.

Her approach to the refugee crisis has been nothing short of disastrous, but, when the guy in charge of the US is a Kremlin fanboy - and most likely, something much worse - I suppose that's what we're left with.

So Reuters and Vice News are reporting that Russian tanks are amassing in Rostov near the Russian/Ukrainian border since Wednesday. More importantly they are a mere 2.5 hours away from the strategically important city of Mariupol...

Pretty interesting scenes coming out of Russia today on social media. Hundreds if not thousands of Russians are protesting and Putin's thugs are getting violent with arrests.

hyperbole? If you have a link I would love to be able to respond with it.

This entire article acts like Russia isn't an expert at reactive measures, political espionage or Maskirovka. It asks like the U.S. putting 4,000 troops spread out in 5 countries is a massive military build up on its border. 4,000 troops..... that's 1 brigade. The Russians have an entire army group massive on its eastern border.

Color revolutions and George Soros..

More like video game science!!!!

essentially there is no limit to the speed we can get from these guns. Its all a matter of hardware and power supply.

also the only thing these missiles are "immune" from is another missile catching it from behind. theoretically, at least, if you can track a missile and know where it is going (predictive) you can do the math of when the launch your own missile to be at the same future point at the same time.

another option is fricking lasers man! I see your mach 6 and raise you the speed of light suckers.

The article talks repeatedly about reducing the size of the equipment needed to fire such a laser, and I see why that would be important as it could become mobile...and attack.

Doesn't it make sense to you to also focus on building lasers that are simply very effective, regardless of size, at shooting down missiles? I don't care if the things were so big and needed so much juice that you had to build them next to power plants themselves...doesn't it seem like the US and even mor3so Israel would love to have a true working laser system that would make missiles and rockets dang near useless? Seriously, if you could only build 1 next to a power plant, but it could rotate 360 degrees, a Ray of light should have endless range until it ran into a solid object given enough power...other countries would pay incredible amounts of money for that technology....not to mention it could nullify the nuclear threat to our country. I wonder why they don't mention that or aren't working on it? I know Reagan wanted a star wars program where we could use satellites for missile defense...Wonder if we are working on that. I know China is working hard on their laser program because I have read about it. Lasers have already been deployed in our navy...they will be a huge portion of future weapons imo. Right now they are prohibited on the battlefield by international law...but in a real war who cares about the law?
