While I try not to put too much stock in these practice reports, I do get the feeling that this team has a real shot to surprise a lot of folks this year. They're not being talked about, they seem hungry, and they should be better conditioned with Rock. Last year's team lacked toughness IMO, but I don't think they'll have that problem this year. GBO

I'm always torn how to feel about this.

Option A: "yay! We have an awesome new QB!"

Option B: "why did our defense give up a 40 yard run to an inexperienced QB?"

So conflicted...

Good lawd. Do you just pick the most random guy to be your best player in history of football every year? Next time don't pick the guy that fair catches at the one yard multiple times in the year.

Talented and better than his stats show but best player in college football smdh. May not even be best WR on his team. Tyrie Cleveland looks like a potential star.

Well the defense is always told not toninjure the Quarterback so you can really gage if it was a legit 40 yards or just no effort toward te football because of who was carrying it....

I lean toward the second.

Not true. Many teams call a run play, snap the ball, and run it. Call a pass play, snap the ball, and pass it. They go through progressions, but they aren't hiding what they are doing. With the option, you snap the ball, and you have "options." You'll have multiple guys going through their assignments, and anyone of them could have the ball. Thus, the deception.

I'm just hoping for good solid defense next year. I think the offense will be fine with a veteran line and Kelly whoever wins out at QB. I never wana see another game like Bama, KY, Mizzou, or Vandy where we get gutted all day long. I know injuries happened.

I'm guessing Butch's offense with many tweaks, which is fine. Better route combinations, more consistent play calling and being aggressive early and often in all games, even cupcake games, is all we need, imo. Oh, use the middle of the field

Judd Apatow made 40 Year Old Virgin. Shows how little you know. Seth Rogen and Evan wrote Superbad when they were in high school and it did $150 million at the box office. Pineapple Express brought action comedies that we saw with Naked Gun back to the box office. Knocked Up, his first lead role, is the only romantic comedy I can really tolerate. Whether you like it or not, the members of the Frat Pack have made hit after hit. Seth Rogen is worth about $50 million but he still keeps making movies because of his passion for it. If you are so sure of what is "really" funny, why don't you get up on stage and try it for yourself? There's an open mic tonight at Sassy Ann's. See how close your jokes are to perfect.
