Great news about Tuttle going through drills on his own. Some rumors would have lead you to believe he was on life support with Tibetan mountain shamans preforming healing rituals every 3 hours.

If he isn't 100% by about halfway through summer training then I hope he redshirts for his own sake, though.

Wtf? You don't have to agree with him but BB has listed multiple reasons he doesn't like QD as the quarterback. Not athletic/fast enough to run the system Jones has run here so far, stares down receivers, and doesn't have any touch on intermediate throws.

Again, feel free to disagree with any of those points listed above but to throw this BS race angle onto it is just ignorant.

Easy killer. '''Twas a joke. But you have to admit it's also pretty ignorant to say one of these guys should be ahead of the other without seeing either one in real game action with the first team. Especially saying JG is the next coming without seeing a single live snap from him in a game or practice.

What kind of sense does that make? If he's 100% ready to go by the first game, or even the first SEC game, why go ahead and say he's going to redshirt when there's no need to declare it so early?

Just hold him out for the GT and Indiana St game and let him lose in the swamp for some snaps. That's almost another 6 full months to recover.

The thought of Jumper trying to react quickly to GT's triple option. . .

I honestly think Jumper has a decent game against GT. His biggest flaw is he can't get off OL blocks, but he reads the ball well and has decent speed. With how much GT chop blocks he won't have to deal with getting off blocks.

He won't be blowing up any plays for TFLs but he'll play good enough that Kirkland can get some rest whichll be important against such a run-heavy team

Exactly. He just needs to eliminate one of the options on every play and allow the other linebackers to make plays in space.

I think the Hand raised him from the dead?

Lack of training and conditioning can lead to more injuries. Maybe if Tuttle could workout fully last year he wouldn't have gotten hurt again. If he is 100% I don't see anyway he isn't playing, so it's a moot point. I would have to imagine he is pretty far behind in the weight room.

Using Jumper requires D-linemen taking up blocks from the O-line 100% of the time because he has not shown the ability to use quickness and/or technique (leverage/hands/etc.) to free himself from blocks. Quality LB's are able to do that. If the O-line gets second level with Jumper, he's done unless he improves this off season. With the talent of Kirkland, McDowell, Bituli, A-Smith, and Ignont available inside, I would focus my efforts there.

How do the talents of Jumper compare to Ben Boulware of Clemson last year?

He was a cog to their D, can Jumper ever develop into that type of a production level?

They're not even in the same hemisphere. Boulware was diagnosing plays before the snap and knew exactly where to be. Jumper was constantly running into the wrong gap.

Yeah, that play in the NC game where Boulware went outside before the snap and was calling his teammates to that side of the field to where the play was going was perfect. He knew what play they were running from the get go. Just a smart linebacker.
