I just think you start JG this year if you know he's going to be a star. Let him take his lumps and by year three he's got us in the playoffs with a good supporting cast. Also, having him as a starter can only help with WR recruiting as well as the overall offense. Just tell the recruits we have him at minimum for 3-4 years. I just see too many reasons to start JG over QD at this point.

No matter what happens VN is going to complain anyway. I really do hope JG is all some think he is because right now he has already won the World Cup by himself.

How do you "know" he is going to be a star? How do you know QD isn't going to be a star? Why not just let them earn the starting QB position? If JG is this super star everyone is putting on him he will win the job but what if QD earns it? When QD signed everyone was so high on him until the new shinny toy comes alone. QD was highly recruited and we were so excited when we got him. JG just might win the job just amazed how fast everyone gives up on QD.

It happens every recruiting cycle. Nobody knows anything about JG except Butch and the coaches.

No! I don't know what happened to him. I used to enjoy listening to him, but now he is the most negative guy online. All he does is whine and complain

i said the same thing to my buddy the other day. He just literally sits on twitter all day, every day complaining about ANYTHING he can find.

Literally everything that has to do with Butch he finds a way to complain about it. An article could come out that said Butch helped an old lady across the street and he would complain that butch isn't focused enough on the team. "Saban never helps ladies"

I'm with Ziti in that I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a LV game...my delight in watching the success of any Vol sports program isn't enough to outweigh the boringness of WBB.

Having said that, wouldn't those that support Holly agree that Pat herself would not be OK with the current state of the team? Everyone agrees that she deeply cared about all her players, but that didn't stop her from giving the glare of death to them when they screwed up. I can just imagine that if we could see her face right now, she would be giving that exact stare to Holly based on the collective performance of the 2016-2017 team.

And Houston Kress is so whiny...it's unbearable. I can't even listen to that show after a loss or disappointing performance. Agree with another poster, though, that Jon Reed is pretty funny on the show.

I was just reviewing our '17 recruits because of the Murphy situation. Other than Smith and Chandler, we have a lot of 'projects' on the offensive side of the ball. If several of these kids don't exceed their rating, this class may be looked at very poorly in a couple years. The defense looks to have more depth and quality overall.

Winning will fix everything, of course.

I didn't say that. However, I do expect us to have a coach who knows how to actually coach. Most of the times we look lost on the court...hmm, I wonder why? Maybe because who is supposed to be the leader of the team is just as lost?

imo she should have never been given that job. It was a spot that could have easily went out and got a big time coach instead of the in house promotion. She was setup for failure. A coach that never had been a HC following a legend.

Now that she has it. It's really hard to seriously fire a coach with two recent elite 8 appearances and the #1 class coming in. So you have to live with it until she falls in her face with this next class. If she does that then she is shown the door. Until then not worth complaining about every single game.

My main point was nobody is going to ever truly satisfy the lady vol fanbase again because summit set a ridiculous bar. Wait until dude at UCONN or Saban retires. Whoever follows them has no chance

It's a very underrated class IMO top to bottom there are some good looking players in this class that fit the profile of the typenof players Butch has success with.

on offensive side 3 guys people don't talk about a lot that I think will have very successful careers at TN are Palmer, Jordan and Locklear. Locklear plays mean on the OL. Jordan was an absolute steal at RB late. Palmer has something about him that just stands it to me at WR. Big bodied kid that makes plays on the ball.

I'm also not understanding where this hate on Holly with the "first time to lose in the second round of the NCAA Womens Tourny" is coming from. Makes almost no sense to me.

It sounds as if Jalen Hurd’s midseason transfer caught Dobbs and his teammates by surprise. “It all happened so fast,” Dobbs said. “When it happened, the echo to the team was just focus on what we can control. If he’s not gonna be with us, that’s fine. We have a season to finish out. We have a game to play next week, and the team that’s coming to play us, they don’t really care about what’s going on.”

How? Where have I claimed he's a Heisman winner or the next coming star? I don't think QD is good though. Quote that....

Let's run through the checklist:

1. Can QD through the ball well? Check
2. Is QD accurate with his passes? Check
3. Is QD a running QB? Nope

Therefore BB doesn't like.

Bet BB didn't think Peyton Manning was a good QB either since he couldn't run.
