Article: Why the Cleveland Browns are a perfect fit for Josh Dobbs

DD, i'll give you credit. i'd of snapped by now. kudos for keeping your head.

Well, the game isn't even half over, and as a Brown's fan since the mid 80's... or since highschool, I knew this was going to be an active draft adn TBH, like I said already, there are no young Brown's fans. Browns fans have seen it all. Including the whole team being sold off and sneaked out of town secretly in the middle of the night without warning.

What you have to understand is the Browns are one of the oldest adn classiest sports organizations... football was started in ohio, the first team was the Dayton Triangles, there is a reason they call this place the "cradle of coaches", there is a reason the hall of fame is canton, it's a football town. We don't give up on our team, we have fun with it.

I think he got played by his agent tbh. They stayed at the table so long with cleveland that everybody spent what they had to spend already. The rest of the money is already tied up in future plans. This is what I'm getting off the Browns fan forums so take it as you want.

Even with the money they've spent, they are nowhere close to the cap, and even further from next year's expected cap. The simplest grasp of math tells you that's nothing but homer message board chatter.

Like I said a couple of times...Sashi brown and the front office said out loud and made a point of it by stated "we will not be panicked if Tyrelle does not come back next season". I think they knew.

I think they are going to pay for Oswieler, pay what ever on Garoppolo, give up the first pick, and what ever lower picks and maybe take a guy off new englands hands that they need to get rid of for cap space and throw it all on the table and see what happens. It will be hard for new england to pass up.

Knew what? If Pryor could be had for 8 million per year, why in the world is he leaving?

The Dayton Triangles were not the first professional football team.

"The Dayton Triangles were an original franchise of the American Professional Football Association (now the National Football League) in 1920."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dayton_Triangles

AN original franchise of that particular league. They were not the first professional team. They weren't even the oldest team in the APFA, that would be the Racine Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals), who were formed in 1899. The Triangles were founded in 1913.

Please stop arguing this point you know nothing about.

I wouldn't say I don't know nothing, but good research anyway. I've always been told the Triangles were the first professional team.

To clarify on Pryor's deal with the Redskins:

It's 1 year for 6 million plus incentives that could total up to another 2 million. How in the world did the Browns not re-sign this guy?

yeah, I heard from the fan boards that they offered 10 mill and were not going to budge and Pryor or his agent decided to see what else was out there. It's funny for sure.

Again, there is no way that's true. There is no way the Browns offered 10 million and Pryor signed elsewhere for 6.

There were threads all morning saying we offered 10... this thread seems to think we might have offered 8... It's all rumor as I haven't seen how LONG the contract offers were for.

"We did have a better offer for multi years, quarantees and incentives to almost double digits. Need to go to rumor central and see what Lane has to say. He was offered more than Britt."

I don't know any of these people so...

Pryor going to Redskins is a better move but if Cousins moves then it's not the best destination for the talent.

Pretty sure the redskins have already reconsidered their position, tagged him and he is now getting paid ridiculous money.

To recap this thread. Still a very good chance cleveland grabs dobbs, but it will be in a lower round and it won't be for QB, it will be in a multiple receiver type roll to take Pryors place.
