Holly was a joke hire in the first place. "Establishment" was the only reason she was hired. Way over her head since day one. IMO !

I'll attempt to respond to this ranting drivel if I can decipher it. Holly Warlick is a nice person, loves UT and all that, that's not debatable. What is debatable is her coaching skill and ability to develop players. She is not cut out to be head coach at what once was and should still be the preeminent women's basketball program. UConn has taken things to a different level but Tennessee should be the one challenging them on a yearly basis but instead the Lady Vols are trying to dig and claw their way out of the middle of the SEC. Warlick isn't going to get the job done and it's blatantly apparent, open your eyes. The time has come to get someone in here to restore this team and get it back to winning before it's too late and this team becomes just another La Tech/Old Dominion. Your blind support of Warlick doesn't make you a bigger or better fan than the rest of us it just makes you one who refuses to accept what's obvious.

So by this way of thinking you could remove Nick Saban at Alabama and insert Derek Dooley and they would both have the same level of success? #1 recruiting class means nothing when you have a coach who can't do the job correctly.

Herein lies part of the problem..."the players decide to play"
Who the he-- is running the show??
If as you say you were a D1 baseball player you must have seen players slack it and get benched. It doesn't matter how good you are as a player, if you don't do the job the you must sit. Holly knuckles under to the players if the players make decisions. That is not coaching at any level, much less this use to be top level basketball program.

When a team plays this pitiful regularly, it has to be blamed on the coaching.
If she did not have the great class coming in, she would probably be gone.

This is a pitiful team.

Butch has a worse record than Holly. He has beaten fewer ranked teams than Holly. Neither is doing fine. They're both underachieving and failing to maximize their players' potential.

Barnes is playing freshmen. Holly and Butch are not. We'll see who improves next year and who doesn't.

Holly can have a couple of high school Candace Parker's coming in, they'd still lose because she doesn't know how to develop them. Great high school players still have to learn to be great college players and Holly just doesn't have what it takes to shape and mold players. She was a great assistant and maybe that's her limit? Some people just aren't head coach material, even if a legend recommended them.

The football program is significantly better now than when Butch arrived. The women's basketball program is significantly worse now than when Holly took over. The question with Butch is whether he has reached his ceiling. With Holly, you're wondering how much worse it can get...

True. But the bottom line is, they're both underachieving and failing to meet expectations. Both have flipped the roster, brought in top talent and are midpack SEC. UT expects better. UT wants to win championships, especially in the two sports where UT used to be in the hunt for a conference championship every year.

Butch has made smart changes and staff upgrades to put himself in a better position to succeed. Holly should think about doing the same. The clock is ticking.

You do realize that the person who mentored her, prepared her, influenced her and endorsed her was Coach Pat Summitt. You think she would have entrusted her shrine to someone she had no confidence in? Obviously there's a lot of top recruits who believe in her. maybe the LV faithful should also.
