Wow, I've been trying to keep up with this from afar. Was Currie's name even in the mix. Hadn't heard this one mentioned. Glad he has ties to UT. Hopefully everyone can calm down now. Glad it is over...

I did think that the new chancellor would separate herself from the debate as to Fulmer or Blackburn and she has,now we shall see if it was the right direction or not

Currie does look like a decent hire,only time will tell

Blackburn is a graduate of Tennessee, spent decades in the UTAD, loves Tennessee, campaigned for the job and a ton of people from former players, to former coaches to media members, to local Knoxville business owners, to fans, and yes, to rubes like us on Volnation, were touting him and wanting him to get the job......and while they informally spoke with him, he didn't so much as get a formal interview. That's why I feel for the guy....not because of all the mindless, irrelevant drivel you just posted

I was either the first or stretching for the tape, to declare Blackburn the perfect choice. That being said, we're not worth fielding a program if ONLY one man is the choice. Didn't feel that Currie was a realistic candidate. Now that he's reality, I'm more than happy with the choice. The man handles his business and doesn't back down...we refer to that as difficult when we're clamoring for another candidate not noted for kowtowing. :wink2:

Great job Chancellor Davenport and great start. :salute:

you better hope you're right. it's not going to take long for this program to turn south if he stinks. Butch is going to have a tough season this year.

swain event is saying that k-state is very happy that Currie is gone. apparently the coaches were not very happy with Curry.

i think we've got Hamilton 1.5.
