Tennessee isnt making the NCAAT unless they win the SECT.

Probably, but if we went back to preseason predictions by VN, most of us said The NIT was the likely destination.

I think most said that would be best case, not that it was expected...most seemed to expect 13-15 wins which wouldn't get you in the NIT

5th out of 6?

The SEC did a good job of scheduling this year so teams like Arkansas and South Carolina have inflated RPIs relative to their wins/losses.

UT, UF, UK, and even Bama/Vandy have been doing that for years.

This the highest the SEC has been in years. It's been below 6th as well.

Below 6th based on what? Maybe number of teams making the NCAAT field? Top to bottom I seriously doubt that the SEC has been lower than 6th as far as ranking the conferences. The bottom half of mid-majors in even their best seasons are horrible. The other P5s plus the current and classic Big East and what other conference(s) rank(ed) higher?

RPI ranks conferences, SEC has been below A10 in years past and maybe even the MWC.

Very unique year but short trips of going 0-1 or 1-1 are virtually irrelevant even in this crazy year IMO.

What's RPI? There could be a top team or two that really skew a ranking. Gonzaga is everybody's number one, but half of their conference is most likely garbage that LSU and Missouri would spank.
