The economy is NOT booming. Why do so many people falsely equate the rise and fall of the stock market to the actual economy? The stock market is up because the Trump admin is a wet dream for the Wall Street billionaires .

The Philly Fed manufacturing index BOOMED to a 33 year high. Just announced today. Jobless claims just collapsed to levels not seen since 1975. Local news here in ATL says there is a massive construction worker shortage. Small business index just jumped to the highest in 35 years. Housing starts beat expectations by 20k new houses, housing permits beat expectations by 55k. The economy is BOOMING.

I don't think glorifying a market that is trading at extreme valuations is a good idea.

Okay the S&P500, the index that covers the largest 500 companies in the US is up 90 handles since Trump inauguration 4% increase.

The Russell 2000. Aka the 2000 largest companies is also up 4% since the inauguration

The Wilshire 5000 aka the largest 6000 stocks is up 4% since the Jan 20th

I have a Vanguard Fund, VFIAX, that represents 75% of the total stock market value. It is called the Vanguard 500 Index Fund and includes 500 stocks in it. On election day it was $197.98 per share. It is now $217.32 per share. That is a 10% increase.

Non-story as far as I'm concerned. The missile thing is a different matter entirely though and should be addressed.

So why would Netanyahu like Donald so much if Donald it as Putin guy? Putin's support of Iran, Syria, and numerous groups in the region are directly counter to Israel. If Bibi thought Trump was a Russian puppet no way he'd be supporting Trump as fervently as he is.

Also begs the question of why has Trump been after Iran given Russia supports and enables Iran. You'd thing Vlad would tell him to "cut it out".
