TrumPutinGate

Are you taking a shot at Obama or agreeing with what dems were saying leading up to the election. I'm sure I will see you in other threads denouncing that Russia had anything to do with anything.

I'm saying that once again the left proves their hypocrisy. They thought it was hilarious that Obama was criticizing Romney for stating Russia was a serious threat. They probably thought he was so smart for saying what he said. Now they've lost an election and Russia has become the biggest scapegoat.

The media told them so, the sheep always follow their shepherd.

If this government sabotage continues to happen, then something big will take place whether it's an attack from outside our country by a country like China or people from our government will stage something inside our country. We are in a very precarious situation right now. We should all be concerned about the divisiveness and the leaks from the intelligence community. This is unprecedented.

That didn't take long.

Well is sure looks like they went from the greatest threat to Trumps closest ally awfully quick and hero to republicans in the process. Yea Russia you have taken down those awful liberals by interfering with our elections with the help of our beloved president's campaign staff.

Unless you're walking the halls of congress and the White House and speaking with our leaders personally every day everything you know or believe about the events of the day comes from the media. It just depends on which media you believe. It doesn't make you a sheep.

Although it is pretty bad optics, this seems to be the saving grace from the article:

There's more where this came from.

Quite idiotic for Trump to go to war against the news media and intelligence community even before he was elected.

As if those were fights he could win.

In the words of Frank Underwood.

"Avoid wars you cannot win, and never raise your flag for an asinine cause."

So, you're both saying that the IC is the actual power in Washington. They are the shadow government, huh? And ya'll are defending this?

I don't think winning matters. It is concerning that he would go after the IC in the first place. Tge media is quite different.

You really expected people in the civilian intelligence community to stand by idly as the President called them Un-American, questioned their patriotism, and equates them to Nazis while he surrounds himself with people who are connected to and influenced by Russian intelligence and people close to the Russian government. People who were paid by the Russian Government and are influenced by people like Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin. Yes I'm am defending them. You want them to go to jail or receive punishment??? Call Senator Richard Burr and tell him to convince a session of the select committee on intelligence to investigate them.

It sounds to me like you are calling for an internal coup in our gov't. You are defending what amounts to the removal of an executive cabinet through cloak and dagger means.

There are such things as due process. This is not due process. Whether this were Trump's cabinet, Obama's, or Nixons, this is BAD mojo, and you are applauding it.

I'm almost speechless.

Key quote

"The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.

The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation."

TBH, I thought this was a cluster**** and I hadn't even considered that Trump was possibly colluding about the hacks. It doesn't need to be about the hacks for this to be bad.

I agree with you. There is a way for the Intelligence Community to handle rogue US officials by means of due process.

The problem in this case is that it is the rogues themselves that the IC are suppose to report to.

If the administration has rogues in it, then the IC would release the damning info. All they've done is cast doubt and leaked classified info to the public. What we are seeing is the establishment doing their best to fight an outsider because he doesn't play by their rules. This is a dangerous moment for our country.

Explain what how due process works for the public to find out about nefarious contacts/ties between Americans and foreign governments.

Flynn called the Russian ambassador and then the White House lied about it.

What is the "proper" way for us to learn the truth?

(A) You have no proof at all that Trump is rogue.
(B) There are other avenues in due process than how this has been going down.

You know better.
