NCAA votes to add a 10th coach in April, I think. I could see adding George Barlow then.

Hoke -- 2 years, 500k per year

Moving into an administrative role, Stripling is an at will employee and not a contract employee.

This new position will allow him the opportunity to be involved in every facet of our football program, not just the defensive side or the defensive line room. I would rather see another LB coach or WR/passing game/special teams assistant. Or even OL

From the article:

Jones said last week that he "knew it at the beginning" that Canales, a veteran coach and longtime friend of Jones, would be his choice, although the Vols talked with 10 different candidates about the opening created by former offensive coordinator Mike DeBord's departure.

The only question in Jones' mind, he said, was whether the rest of his staff would be convinced that Canales, who spent last season at Utah State, was the man for the job.

Some people around here were getting $#@+ on for suggesting this was the case a few weeks ago.
