I don't think he would leave Knoxville for a lateral move. It would take a promotion to OC, imo. He apparently loves it in Knoxville, and I'm guessing it seems he enjoys coaching under Butch.

Butch doesn't give a damn ab what these tools and bloggers think ab it. Whether it's Good or bad I just don't think he cares that much ab what big ears finebaum has to say. Rucker is low man on the totem pole over there. Nobody cares ab that guy.

Personally, I really don't care as I get what he's trying to say. But unfortunately, the media and every idiot that's influenced by it will run with it. Also, Perception of the program is huge to recruits. Recruits are all over social media where this gets the most buzz and negative impact. Will it directly impact us not getting a recruit? Probably not. But still, why even say it if you know half of your fanbase and millions will mock your program for it? It's just not smart.

Between Hurd, P will, the guy who had like 7 different high schools v people like Sutton and Kelly, I get it.
He's just got such a target on his back right now though, he should do the most boring coach speeches ever. Deal with the team and let the sharks find someone else to feast on.

Social media has made simple comments turn into something they're not. I don't like it, but he should consider that when tossing out Butchisms.

However, win big and everyone will suddenly speak differently about them.

The statement is clearly directly at 2 players. Jalen Hurd and Preston Williams. I have zero problem with the quote and actually applaud the fact that he is changing his criteria a little for his recruits.

I wasn't being judgemental. Just made the statement that new medical issues are being associated with increased availability of marijuana in those states.
I find it interesting that legalization has led to these new findings.
