Hey now, I was a 4* according to ESPN, but only a 2* on 247, and just a logon according to Rivals. But I'll always give my best for VN as I'm a VNFL. :)

I don't agree with it, and I think it's silly to even consider that these kids do nothing, but focus on football 24/7.

Admittedly not a big follower of recruiting, but how do we lose 3 big instate names to LSU?

Very happy with the guys we got. Can't wait to see where we go this coming season. GBO.

From what i read yesterday in USAtoday, we are ranked 11th in 1 site and 13th in all the others. 11th to 13th.

So whats all the panic about? Trash talking the kids who actually chose to come play on the hill? Hand wringing and crap attitudes? Over a top 15 class? 1 kid picks us today as a surprise and its a top 10 class...and we landed an OT, hugely important position, that some have ranked as the NUMBER 1 OVERALL PLAYER?!?! When is the last time we landed that? I dont remember unless Peyton was...it amazes me you negas trash our team like you do...as if recruits dont read what you post. YOU GUYS WHO TRASH US SUCK.

Not just that, but certainly a part of it. I don't think recruits reading message boards is as big a deal as some make it out to be, but to pretend it's non-existent and can't possibly have any type of influence, is silly.

yea its the reality of the times we are in, folks/recruits are much more in tune and tech savvy. Spend more time looking into and reading anything out there...how they handle that information is always going to be different depending on the person

That's how I feel about our recruiting. It's sloppy. There is a problem if you can make valid arguments based on the ratings that the class is good or it's not good. That's backwards.
Star averages are hurt by quantity while class rankings only use a certain number of recruits. That's why it's important to look at both as well as needs.
Dooley actually signed a decent amount of four and five star players, along with no lines to protect them. Even analysts could have congratulated him if they didn't bother to view the entire picture.

Either way, I agree with you on SOME of the negatives and the conversation was mostly good. But the end of your post looks like it's headed toward that same tired "everything sucks" mantra that we all have memorized. I'd rather stop before we just start adding to that.
