Anyway...I know long form journalism is hard and you must be busy choosing your next meme for your 19,134th post...

Both Obama and Carter had moratoriums on Muslims at one time or the other and as usual your side is blowing Shiite way outta proportion. Get over it

Obama’s “seven countries” taken out of context:

Trump’s claim that the seven countries listed in the executive order came from the Obama administration is conveniently left unexplained. A bit of background: soon after the December 2015 terror attack in San Bernadino, President Obama signed an amendment to the Visa Waiver Program, a law that allows citizens of 38 countries to travel to the United States without obtaining visas (and gives Americans reciprocal privileges in those countries). The amendment removed from the Visa Waiver Program dual nationals who were citizens of four countries (Iraq, Iran, Sudan, and Syria), or anyone who had recently traveled to those countries. The Obama administration added three more to the list (Libya, Somalia, and Yemen), bringing the total to seven. But this law did not bar anyone from coming to the United States. It only required a relatively small percentage of people to obtain a visa first. And to avoid punishing people who clearly had good reasons to travel to the relevant countries, the Obama administration used a waiver provided by Congress for certain travelers, including journalists, aid workers, and officials from international organizations like the United Nations.

From Iraq and Syria it did. Did you find this on Mother Jones?

The list of seven countries he chose seems somewhat arbitrary based on the rationale Trump is using to defend the ban. When you look at attacks like 9/11 or even the Boston Bombings, none of the countries those "terrorists" were from is one of the seven listed.

His rationale is total bull****.

Here is what Al Sharpton said:

“Before you head to church today,” Sharpton wrote, “remember to thank God for his son, Jesus a refugee who fled to Egypt.”

Well...the "Reverend" is getting on up in years. It's hard for me to imagine this guy has gotten up every morning of his life, looked in the mirror and actually took the guy staring back at him seriously. Geeeeez.

Lol... What an idiot.

Come on now!...I don't even believe in the sky god but if you must :
The flight into Egypt is a biblical event described in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 2:13-23), in which Joseph fled to Egypt with Mary and infant son Jesus after a visit by the Magi, because they learned that King Herod intended to kill the infants of that area.

But mainly you're just unhappy because you don't know the rationale behind the agenda and you didn't get to make the rules. Worse; you're ire is based on the bits and pieces that the media chose to feed you.

We used to be far more selective about immigration - ever heard of a place called Ellis Island?

Trump just fired the acting AG who would not defend the EO.

Dissent is NOT ALLOWED !!

Most of us found out fairly early in life that a directive from the boss is not simply a suggestion. Of course, when PC twists things in knots so that absolutes must be avoided because someone's sensitivities might be offended, it might seem that directives are out of order. Why don't you decide and apply your own rules for the courtroom and get back to us on how it worked out.

Are you speaking of this The Immigration Restriction Act of 1924, was designed consciously to halt the immigration of supposedly "dysgenic" Italians and eastern European Jews, whose numbers had grown during the period from 1900 to 1920. ...yeah this was eugenics..you a fan?-

How about this:
HTML:
...why should this piece of detritus be a citizen of this great nationredneck man.jpg while: syrian man.jpg

one difference between the two gentlemen is that , ... well, the Tennessee guy was arrested for lewd acts involving a minor.. the other is an engineer and can't get into the country to escape persecution...which would you rather have as a neighbor? Answer honestly!

Speaking of the roll out of the travel ban, Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker - a Tennessee Republican said:

"They know it could have been done better. They probably learned that communication and the inter-agency process would probably be helpful." - Sen. Bob Corker (R)

I guess this makes Corker a left wing idiot, right?

Just a reminder...

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

It means he's actually doing something useful for once. I hope he keeps speaking out.

Just what we need, more ME "engineers". There is a reason any modern building project is almost always run by Western engineers over there..

That is a really bad example. This is really no different than that clerk of court in Kentucky. She should have been canned for not upholding the law and so should this woman.

Most of Trump's issues from the left have more to do with the fact that the plan is being implemented by Trump with little or no explanation and no input from the democrats. It's really just a reversal of the last 8 years.

I still think Trump could do a better job presenting ideas, but the idea that we should perform some self evaluation on our immigration security is a sound one. I don't see the benefit to the broad nature of this ban, but I understand it. Also, I think we'd be well advised to look inward as our recent terror attacks have come from US citizens which to me pose a much more discrete, but dangerous threat.

Yes, here comes the "the left is upset that they didn't make the rules" nonsense.

Give me a break
