Isnt there a rule that if they never enroll then after 2 years then they come off that 25 number and then you can readjust the back-counter numbers?

Or am I just combining that with the rule that you can give a walk-on a scholarship after their 2nd year and they don't count?

I've not seen a rule like that. But yes, after 2 years, a walk-on can receive a scholarship without counting as an initial counter.

No response would work. Always gets one or two tho. :dunno:

I don't think he cares. He just wants to mess up the RF and agitate. He'll do it until he gets a response. Then he'll pout, say he was only helping and everyone always attacks him, promise to stick to 'his' thread. Rinse and repeat.

I can't listen to Coach Doug Mathews Big Orange Sunday this morning.
He's supposed to give a signing day preview.
If you can listen, please jot down a few notes.
It airs at 8am central/9 am eastern.

I don't see what he did so I guess the Mods cleaned it up. He likes to report folks for "nonsense" posts so just turn his tactics on him. I hardly ever reply to him and don't get riled up when he does his thing. I just report a few of his posts and that turns on the Mods' Battery Signal. They come clean up Tony's mess. Badda bing badda boom. We're back on track.

The football scene would be better if more people like you came. Talent pool is deep, but not a ton of great minds developing or investing in it.

I live in midtown and crime is not a thing i ever encounter. It's out there, sure. But the crime reputation in Memphis is far worse than the reality. Mostly I just encounter super good people.

Though Memphis is a city I have enjoyed many times, the reality of the situation is that statistically Memphis is almost at the very top in the nation for violent crime rates per person.

Then again, Violent crime rate is a Tennessee issue as well. Our rate is in the top three of the country and also the-- if I remember correctly-- only state in the nation that has seen an increase in the violent crime rate over the last 20 years. Everywhere else in the nation the violent crime rate has been steadily decreasing.

Illinois can't be decreasing with Chicago as bad as it is.

I tuned out for the basketball portion but the football stuff can be summarized in two words: depth class.

Basically, DM says we only need a RB and WR to play as freshmen out of this class. He stated that we have depth and talent but then made an acknowledgement that our talent level is debatable. He also said this class will have to be coached up if they're going to fill the role of a depth class. I think this is pretty much the company line that the coaches want to get out there to explain lack of star power in this class, even though anyone with internet access can see that they definitely pursued the star power and just whiffed all over the board. If they say they can compete in the SEC with what they've got, the new AD needs to hold them to their words.

The WR coaching has been outstanding at Bama. Best coached position on the offense. IMO

And what does it say when one coach's assistants are getting hired away as HC's and power 5 coordinators, while another coach's assistants can't even get on at Georgia Southern? Anyone that wants to know why we underachieved this past year and are now looking at a "depth class" in recruiting need look no further than this. Been bringing a knife to a gunfight. Smh.
