So, can we all agree that Dobbs can play QB at the next level. And, what do know with an actual qb coach the kid can play. I would think with all plays Dobbs has made in the past and his IQ he would get it done.

Dobbs is looking like...Dobbs. I'm telling you people, our problem was never WR's or O-line. It has always been Dobbs!! Inconsistent, mediocre, slow starter. His athletic ability is what made him good as talent eventually shows up in college football. But he's an awful QB!
Sooooo excited for the Guarantano era to begin. We will win more than 9 games next yr. Mark my words!
+1

Cam Sutton makes the tackle at free safety!

Cam Sutton was nearly flawless today. His coverage was do good nobody even tried him. He played outside corner, nickel, and free safety. Other than for one missed tackle he was perfect. If he runs 4.45 or faster at the combine, there is no way he makes it out of the first round.

Future NFL superstar without a doubt.

Tennessee's Joshua Dobbs and Cameron Sutton showcased their talents for NFL scouts and coaches on Saturday at the 68th Annual Reese's Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Both Dobbs and Sutton started for the South team, which took a 16-15 win over the North team.

Dobbs played in the South's first three possessions and finished 12-for-15 for 104 yards and had one interception.

Dobbs completed two of three passes for 13 yards during the South's opening drive. His first pass was a four-yard completion to Alabama tight end O.J. Howard over the middle. Under center three plays later, Dobbs completed his second pass to San Diego State's Donnel Pomphrey off of play action to his right for an 11-yard gain. Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram dropped Dobbs' third pass down the left seam.

On the second play of the South's second possession, Dobbs completed a 10-pass to Grambling State's Chad Williams and showcased his mobility on his fifth throw, rolling to his right to evade pressure and get rid the ball. Dobbs was hit as he threw on his sixth passing attempt as his left tackle was pushed into him on the release, affecting the pass down the middle and resulting in an interception for Lorenzo Jerome of St. Francis (Pa.).

The South ran the two-minute drill for its third possession at the end of the first quarter. Dobbs looked good in the hurry-up offense, starting with a five-yard pass to Howard. He followed that with a five-yard pass to Texas A&M's Josh Reynolds down the right sideline. Three plays later, he completed a six-yard sideline pass to Pumphrey. Dobbs hit Howard for six-yard gain and a first down and then beat the expiring first-quarter clock to rifle a pass to Howard down the right seam for a 24-yard gain.

Dobbs remained hot at the start of the second quarter. On first down from the South's 25-yard line, he connected with BYU's Jamaal Williams for a four-yard completion out of the backfield. On 3rd-and-3 two plays later, he displayed his quick release, hitting Western Kentucky's Taywan Taylor on a 14-yard quick slant. Dobbs completed a seven-yard pass to Reynolds and picked up another first down when his screen pass to Florida State fullback Freddie Stevenson resulted in a 10-yard gain. The South turned the ball over on a fumble by Reynolds during a reverse.

Cleveland Browns and South head coach Hue Jackson was pleased with Dobbs' performance.

"I thought Josh did a good job," Jackson said. "He couldn't control getting hit and flipping the ball up in the air, but I thought he ran the offense, moved the ball and did the things we thought he could do. He did a good job."

NFL Network analyst and draft expert Mike Mayock shared that opinion at halftime.

"I thought Joshua Dobbs did a nice job with his set," Mayock said.

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah said that scouts had great things to say about Dobbs and California's Davis Webb.

"When you talk to scouts who have gone on those two school calls, they say these are the types of kids that coaches are going to want to work with," Jeremiah said. "Their work ethic is outstanding."

Sutton started the game at cornerback for the South and also played on special teams. He posted three tackles in the game and none of the receivers he covered were targeted by North quarterbacks.

Playing at the nickel, he halted the North's opening possession when he made a tackle on Michigan's De'Veon Smith after a seven-yard completion on 3rd-and-11.

During the North's second possession, Sutton made a big tackle on 2nd-and-Goal, stopping Smith at the four-yard line.

On the broadcast, Mayock said that he was impressed with what he saw out of Sutton over the course of the Senior Bowl Week.

"He tackled everybody and gave great effort," Mayock said of Sutton showing in practices.

Sutton played at right corner, nickel and free safety in the second half and did not have a pass thrown his way. He made his third stop of the day when he tripped Toledo running back Kareem Hunt in the third quarter on a 20-yard run down the left seam.

Here is the proof that Josh Dobbs can play! You trolls read it and weep.

Dobbs was moving the ball at will when he was out there. His teammates were the ones that messed up. Evan Engram dropped what was a nice throw down the seam. The RT got driven right into Dobbs which resulted in his arm being hit while he was throwing which resulted in a pick. And his only other incompletion was a throw away after got flushed out of the pocket due to pressure.

Overall I would give Dobbs a solid A for the game. He was quick, decisive, and accurate. Everyone of his passes were on target and had good velocity. And the mistakes were not his fault.

Josh Dobbs will be a GREAT professional football player. I personally like the chemistry between him and Hue Jackson and hope he becomes a Brown as crazy as that sounds.

Ok, I hope Davis Webb gets picked in the second or third round now.

Davis Webb is a good kid. Hard worker, smart, great arm. I just don't think has the IT factor to he a starter. He'll be a solid backup in the NFL. I think he's good value as a 4th-5th round pick.

I have no doubt Josh Dobbs and Cam Sutton will be special in the NFL.

They have the athleticism, work ethic, intelligence, and competitive drive to be great. Love how both guys played and I look forward to following their careers in the NFL.

If I were Cleveland I'd still draft Watson.

But as a GM, I would work a trade with an out of conference team that wants Dobbs and work some equity to where they move up to get him. Get some picks for him.

Dashaun Watson has a very strong accurate arm. Especially on deep throws. Cleveland has some young fast WRs.

Play Dobbs up as being Kirk Cousins to RG3 2.0 to Watson.

On the 2nd day work the deal for a team that wants Dobbs.

During the 2nd half, I saw Cam Sutton near the action with what looked like he was the first man to make the stop on a few plays when somebody else would jump in on the stop, so it was hard to see. I know which one he is talking about with the tripping up the runner. I thought he did that, but I couldn't see well from the angle so didn't comment without being sure.
I think in addition to the solo stops he played exceptional coverage and had quite a few assisted tackles too. Even plays that were on the other side of the field from him, he'd end up in the picture never far behind from the action.

To get Watson you would have to use the 1st overall pick cause I doubt he gets past the the Jets at 6th overall or the Bills at 10th overall.

IMO no QB in this draft (or nearly any other draft) is worth the 1st overall pick. With the 1st overall pick, you don't roll the dice, you take a surefire pro-bowl talent. Myles Garrett and Solomon Thomas are the best players in this class IMO and the most surefire pro-bowl talents. You take one of them 1st overall. And then you look for your QB later.

A blueprint I would follow if I was the Cleveland Browns is what the Oakland Raiders did in the 2014 draft. Rather than reaching for a QB early like the Jaguars who passed on future All-Pro DE Khalil Mack for QB Blake Bortles (who looks like a bust so far), the Raiders took Mack 5th overall and then picked Derek Carr in the 2nd round. Those two guys have now formed the foundation of the Raiders resurgence.

The Browns should pick Myles Garrett or Solomon Thomas first overall. Then take a player like Dobbs in the 3rd round. Use those other 3 picks in between Dobbs and Garrett/Thomas to fill needs at other positions.

Cleveland Browns need a lot of good players. No one QB is gonna change that franchise. They need a talent infusion all over the field.

Because a professional analyst is infallible and all. You're being absolutely delusional if you think that Dobbs is an NFL quarterback.

I'll put up the deed to one of my houses he is an NFL quarterback. What you got on it playa? You need to come with at least a boat or car or something.

This pretty much proves my point. Dobbs was not a winner. Athletic ability doesn't make you a good qb or winner. It helps over the span of a game, and it makes you a "gamer", but I'd rather have a winner.

With all due respect, that doesn't prove much of anything. Dobbs was 22-9 as a starter the last 3 seasons. He had some inconsistencies to be sure, but to say he wasn't a winner or "gamer", I don't see where you're coming up with that. Dobbs was one of the 4 or 5 best qbs I've ever seen play at Tennessee.

Dobbs will not be recognized as well because ultimately our defense ruined the team this year. He really came along nicely this year other than the South Carolina game.
