It definitely isn't up to Florida standards. They don't have many low tier recruits, but no elite(6.0+) either.

Kinda meh.

They may close well. I truly have no idea about their remaining targets. But reality is they definitely aren't getting the guys they want. If you are in that state you're gonna be able to fill up with 3 and 4 stars without trying. They seem to be really struggling. They are cold as ice on the recruiting trail. Butch still has more pop than McElwain.

While it's great to hear about Dobbs, I think there is another story worth noting. Nathan Peterman, according to McShay, was the best in show during the Senior Bowl activities. While I'm happy for Dobbs, I am thoroughly impressed with Nate's ability to regroup and bounce back.

For the negavols a story like this does add fuel to anti-Butch, "Make Tennessee Great Again" fire. Butch encouraged No. 1 to graduate early and move on. He kept No. 3 around, without a QB coach to maximize his talent.

Well to be fair, if your OL wasn't blocking, an immobile passer isn't really a help. And that's not a knock on Nate.

Butch could certainly have sold back-to-back SECCG appearances better than Mac has. He's recruiting like they've gone 6-6 the past two years.

Absolutely agree. Damn, Worley took some licks that season+. And, I am truly happy for Nate. Always enjoy the underdog tale, and at least there is a Tennessee imprint on the Peterman record.

It's worth pondering though, if the plan moving forward was always a run first offense, to minimize the OL's youth, inexperience then...(fill in the blank). Run first mindset is the only reason I can think to not have a QB coach - @ TN of all places with such a great QB, rich history.

It is what it is, and we've had some less than desirable success after the fact. And, Dobbs will go down as an under appreciated great when the highlight reel is released. But, there is this lingering taste in my mouth, admittedly.

I think Dobbs legacy really depends on the next 2-3 years. If we have a run of success Dobbs, JRM, Maggit, Sutton etc will be remembered as the generation of players that built the foundation that led to championships. If we don't and Butch gets fired that generation of players will always be remembered as a what-if.

I'm friends with a lot of Clemson fans and the generation of players that invented "Clemsoning" in Dabos early years are already starting to be remembered a lot more fondly than they were the past few seasons

Great perspective, and a lot of truth in the reasoning.

Could have done without the big "C" reference, though. Let's add them to the unspeakable list, especially in comparisons to our Vols.

I'm beginning to hate this time of year. All these FF window lickers coming in here starting drama. It's like going to a party and leaving an upper decker. Buncha tools.

The RF will be liberated next Thursday. The insurgents will make a strong push on Wednesday but order should be restored within 24 hrs.

I won't disagree but would I add between Nick Sheridan and QB coach experience on staff, that may have delayed that position hire.
Too much of a coincidence that we hired one this year with Nick and Mike moving on.
Does anyone remember if we were at our max number of coaches previously or not?

Gratuitous compliments of the staff will be sniffed out and responded to wherever posted. You can take it to the Ms. Pac Man Act 4 strategy guide sub-subforum of the vintage gaming subforum of the video game forum and it will be found.

One drive the OL got dominated and Dobbs got hit as he threw, which resulted in an int. Another drive his rb lost a fumble. Seemed to play pretty well other than that though. Think he was 11/14 passing.

Thanks. As soon as I read that and flipped over to it, the announcer said, "and we have a new qb in the game..."
Dang it, wanted to see him play.

Also got screwed when he drove them down the field and his WR fumbled on a double reverse on another possession. He moved the offense well but The turnovers killed them.

Senior Bowl halftime show pimping up Webb's stats. Dobbs didn't get much mention.

They did have him on a 'Draft and Develop' list. We'll see who takes a chance on him.
