Was a 2018 recruit who apparently Martinez was the only one who wanted. New DB coach must have agreed with everyone else.

I like the triple smoke because it reminds me of a good Islay scotch. Plus, I try to buy local. They have so many varieties that I cannot vouch for all of the. I do like the AE as well. I don't drink much of the brown stuff anymore. The older I get, the faster and harder it seems to hit me.

How exactly does Hurd transfer to Cal and not have to sit out a year. Anyone care to explain? I thought you had to transfer down a whole division to not have to sit.

I'm pretty sure Brice or maybe Hubbs was also saying that Helfrich was being looked at for an analyst position and not as a Coordinator or position coach.

Is this still in play I wonder? I could see him maybe wanting to do something like this for a year or so. He's still getting paid (3 1/2 million?) and not have to put in the hours a coach would have to.

I'd be cool with that, if it's an option.

My thoughts too. Two years as an analyst here. If he decides to stay good, make him a position coach or coordinator...if not, we had the benefit of his knowledge for two years (and he had two years of semi vacation). Win, win.

Nice, I've been wanting to get some lagavulin or laphroaig for a while but I'm just a poor college grad. Shame you cant enjoy the good stuff the way you want when you can finally afford it, and when you're young you have to knock back the nasty swill.

Graduate transfer. Unless Butch just gave him an unconditional release.

I don't think he is even taking classes. did he graduate? maybe he is gona enroll at Cal or somewhere else and sit out a year.

My impression was that he was completing last semester and is still enrolled. There were complaints on here concerning his free ride lasting the school year. Don't know if those complaints stemmed from any actual knowledge tho.

There used to be hardship exceptions to that, which I wouldn't think he'd qualify. Never know with loopholes. He's probably in line to graduate.

I read an article today about him visiting Cal and it said he wasn't enrolled at UT, however I have no idea how credible it was.

I seem to recall when all this went down that one of the 'insiders' commented that he was right where he should be classes-wise for a junior. I took that to mean that he wouldn't be graduating within 3 years.

The quote I have I had seen was for OC but I would be all for bringing him on as an analyst. I doubt he would go for it as he may just take the year off. The guy is getting paid regardless. Would be nice if he did come though.
