Disagree with his politics all you want( I do) but at least Bernie ran on actual politics. I hate how much the election has become about sound bites and away from the actual issues. I wish he had at least won the Democratic nomination to show you could run that type of campaign and still win to spark a shift back to elections about issues and not seeing which candidate can be vilified the most
I said that?
My point was at least he ran on policies and I wish he showed that could be successful so people would actually run on policies like it should be
If only that was the way it worked. But historically it never really has.
As ugly as the campaign got, it (or really any election in most of our lifetimes) doesn't have anything on some of the campaigns the 19th century saw.

People think the campaigns of the early years were civil contests between gentlemen. Lol. There was as much or more mud slinging and intimidation that occurred back then. Just no smart phones to document and share it
And it goes way back lol Jefferson funded a newspaper to throw shade at John Adams. They called him hermaphroditic in character(there's debate over the use of the word and what exact meaning they were trying to convey, but still) and Adams' campaign said that if Jefferson won rape and murder would be commonly taught and practiced

I have to say, I love trump's Cabient, Hot wife to look at for 4 years or more, and I do believe he will actually do what he said he is going to do. At least as much as he can get through Congress. I haven't watched an Inauguration in so long and I truly enjoyed watching the transition from Obrokeus to Trump. Now Oboooma can golf on his own dime not ours.
